First time grower

Using MG potting soil, 2 6500k 23w cfls for veg, and will be using 2 40w 2700k cfls for flowering. available space is 24x32x40.

I have done my research for over a month gathering info and really this grow is just going to be trial and error.

First error I made was not having the lights close enough and my babies fell over trying to reach out for light. Now I have them staked up with paperclips and the light is with a few inches.

Will the babies get strong enough to hold them selves up after a few days?

Thanks.

drop the lights down to a few inchs from canopy lvl..

if you can't buy any mix your own

yeah Im starting to figure out that the soil is an issue. I dont have access to anything like fox farm or what not. But I would love some suggestions on potting soil I can pick up locally. I now have 4 1700 lumen cfls about 2-3 inches away, doing much better, not growing as fast as I think it can.

Well, going on two weeks now and have 8-9 leaves on each, seem to be doing alot better with the new soil, and Im watering alot less, since then the leaves have stood straight out and looking alot healthier.

Also the additional lightning has helped alot too,

How much can I expect to get from each plant? They will be able to reach a height of around 26". BTW its white widow.
