Definitely go with the 440CFM inline fan. In that space, it should exhaust enough air to bring in new air passively.

Personally, I set mine up filter->inline fan->cooltube->exhaust outside. The filter and fan are directly connected (no ducting in between) which makes it much more convenient to hang it up.

the thing is that its in a closet room that has a regular door. so how would i o about letting fresh air in from outside? it would continue sucking the oxyen out of the living plants. or is there away to make c02 enough for 6 small seedlings or 2 plants in a 5x2x10 ? shhould i just make a hole and place ducting connected to an exaust fan to draw air from outside? help"_ thanks

I use a 240 cfm fan for a 400 watt hps in a 30 inch by 30 by 48 grow box, pretty positive you can get away with a cheaper fan.

If your going to vent your light, its ALWAYS better to pull than air than to push. I run 6 1000s and i have an 8in 750cfm fan for every 2 lights. But I dont have to worry about bringing in fresh air as I run both AC and a CO2 genni... You could definently get by with the smaller (450cfm) fan for your application. It just always works better to pull air than to try and push it. Keep all ductwork as short and as straight as possible. Any turns or bends should be as gradual and sweeping as possible. I cant remember the exact percentage but every 90 degree bend decreases your airflow a crazy amount. I try to never exceed 45 degrees on my bends. In short it sounds like with a small space like that you could have a passive intake (no fan) i.e open vent, window,or hole.. then run your setup like this ( filter, fan, cooltube, ducting, fan ) the less the fan pushes the more effeicently it will work. Good luck!

1st off I answered your question, go with the 440cfm fan, I dont really think the other fan will pull enough air to work properly. 2nd I would suggest doing massive research before you start your grow. This website, the internet, and grow books are all good sources. Youll save yourself a ton of headaches. And yes all plants "breathe" CO2, so you either have to exchange the air in the room quite often, or as I do generate your own. You also need to move the air around in your grown room.. I would suggest a wall mount fan. That is very important, if the air in your grow room isnt moving, than the plants use all the CO2 around them. Then being they have nothing to "breathe" they slow and ulltimatley will stop growing. Good luck and do some reseach!
