First time growing - Ideas?

Hey all,

Have decided to start a bit of a grow room in my sliding wardrobe (using one half, if you can picture that)

I have acquired some seeds, unknown strain (being in australia you don't usually know what you're getting anyway) But have been told they have produced good results.

I am going to start by modifying an Esky/Ice Chest that I have, the inside of it is tin, and super reflective, but I do have a roll of mylar also. This esky will be a temp grow area whilst some work is being done on my sliding wardrobe. There is about 2 ft height and 2.5/3ft width in this eksy, so fairly small... But will be moving them asap to the wardrobe once I do the wiring, mylar and sort out configuration.

I am going to make the trip to the hardware/gardening shop tomorrow and buy some soil and pots (thinking about 6 inch wide?)

I'll also buy a couple of light fittings and see if i can get the seeds started while I wait for my lights to be shipped off, I figure I'll go to the shop and buy a couple of 20 watt Cool White CFL's....

My questions are the following:

Are the above 2 bulbs going to be OK? (one for veg and when they start to flower, swap out to the other warm white bulb)?

Am I on the right track? This is to grow ONE maybe TWO plants..... stealthy..

I'm not quite sure what else to ask, But I'll add it to this thread if I think of anything else.

EDIT: thought of something already... airflow.... In the Esky I plan on mounting a couple of 90mm computer fans, maybe 2 inlet, 2 exhaust fans... As the esky is air tight it should be pretty good at getting the air moving, provided the exhaust fans are at the top and the intake fans in a good position at the bottom.

In the wardrobe I plan on running 4, 120mm 12v fans, with ducting, exhaust either into the roof space or otherwise outside of the grow area.

read the guide in my sig for soil. Get at least 2 bulbs for growing and you'll probably want more for flowering.

No problems, after reading a few CFL grow threads, I think I might get another 2 low power CFL's 20-30 watt, still awaiting the 130 watt to come.

What is everyones opinion of the following as a grow box for the time being?

It is an esky/ice chest that I won, the interior appears to be aluminum and very reflective. It has a bung in the bottom which you can see to let out water/etc, I plan to run my wiring for the lights through there.

When I get my fans I'll work out how I'm going to install them, but they will be mounted on the outside of the case. As will a power strip on the outer rear side.
