First Time Growing Please help?

Hi,
i started just to day so theres nothing up yet. But i was wondering about some thing.

what are my veg times??
im useing a 1000 watt Hps with a normel rotating fan *not added yet* and fox farm ocean forest soil and im useing the cups to start my 8 plants *2 plants r in the same cup they r my old plants from out side's seeds*.

i did 8 to also see what plants are going to pop up and which will not. i also heard ocean forest was bad for ur seeds is that true?

i got my auto times set for 14/10 right now is that bad? is it 18/6? or something eles. alsof my timing is wrong will that be bad? or will it work with a 1000 watt hps.

please hep and ill keep u updated on what they look like i just need help as of now.

well as far as times i think i got it......18/6? i was reading around since i havn't grown in some time and seen be saying 24 hours a day and 20 inchs away from ur plants..... is that true? if it is will 18/6 kill them?

18/6, 36" from plants until they get established. FF Ocean Forest is pretty hot for seedlings. I have cut it before with 50% coco with good results. After plants are established, you can upcan into pure FF, but do not add any nutes for several weeks.

yes there in the cups u see with 100% ff ocean forest. and the auto timer set from 7 am - 1 am 18/6 fixing up the room alittle more *was a project room b4 so its alittle filled lol and a wall is missing* but other then that thats whats going on for now. i have some nice seeds in there from what i had but i have to see how they come out of course lol

so is useing the FF bad? what can happen?

Hey man just my 2 cents but I run my lights 24/7 during veg it won't hurt the plants and they grow like a mother fucker. I just wish I had the ventilation to have a 1000 watter and its to late to worry bout the seeds now if you have already planted them. Just keep your fingers crossed and all will go well and if it doesn't you learned your first lesson about growing. Good luck man.

thx but i have to say i dont really have to venting either but im going to make it work somehow i suppose

If your plants show signs of nute burn, flush heavily. What is the temp in your grow room with the light on? What is the humidity?

really dont have anything to check it but herei n michigan its till kinda cold. its warmer then my room downstaires and thats good because u have to cover up in my room because of the cold. the humidty doesnt seem bad either about the normel heat isnt that hgh either most the heat is coming from the light right by the glass. i have dry wall to put up with a stand up oscillating fan and going to try and atleast get a exhust fan b4 there 3-4 weeks old this job is being done as cheap as i can im a student and i have no way of a job i have been trying im even clean havnt smoke in 3 months. iv spend about 450 for my hood light ballast pots soil and dry wall still not added.

i got my soil from hydro spot in my city i have 1 plant that sprouted *6 days in* and its about a 1/2 inch tall with its first set of leaves coming out......the others have failed to come up so far.

i didnt do anything but throw the seeds into the ground if i germ them they seem to not grow *just from exp with out door plants* my buddy planted this plantsi n my garden when they were ready and i placed mine is soil at the same time then took them outside at the same time *it as warm in michigan at this point* and his died and mine lived lol

indoors with a hps not germed how long should it take to sprout i used a sharpy to placed them and i think i went aittle farther down then a 1/2 inch more like a inch.

yes. i found out there is 3/8 in the ff ocean forest 100% and the others turned black......so i threw more seeds in see if they work i dont have cash for soil sadly but my good plants lived.
