First time GROWING Prep Work

Hey Guys, pretty soon i will be making my first grow as soon as i do my Income taxes LOL!!

I plan on purchasing a Secret Jardin DR100 ( 39.6" wide x 39.6" deep x 72" tall ) with either a 400w or 600w light system. Along, with all the necessary fans and filters. My main question at hand is deciding what type of Hydro system to use. I want to grow good healthy plants and get as much plants as i can in one room without sacrificing quality and potential yield of each plant. The system i plan on using is a basic ebb and flow drain system in a 3x3 grow tray. But i think i can only fit 4 good plants. i figure that many plants based off the grow video
MR. GREEN I GROW CHRONIC. I'm thinking i can fit more and still get good healthy plants by using a 600w light system. So in general which Hydroponic system is but suited for my grow needs Please someone shed some light on this

Thanks in ADVANCE

If you have the choice buy the 600w system "more light better buds" and run up to 9 plants in a 3x3 area being careful to prune lower bud vegetation as the canopy grows and you will end up with a SOG like grow ("Research That"). EBB and Flow is the only way to go!! Nutes, keep it simple use just a 2 part like the Flora Nova series. Because you will have limited grow height you will only want to veg the plants 8in max don't worry they can and will triple in height and if they get too tall then you can get burnt buds. You can always veg longer on the next run when you know how tall your plants finish out better safe than sorry.

Good luck man

yea man thanks. i know i have ways to go. i now just realized from reading other people grow journal that there are more technical stuff i have to research that i never knew that needed to be researched. and thanks for reminding me to keep it simple man. last couple of weeks my head has been going crazy on deciding nutes i need and such.

Simple is good, I like that you are going with a flood tray, it is so versatile. It sounds like you have a good grasp on what you need, so what questions do you have?

And:

Why are you not getting a bigger tent, like at least the DR120 that's 4x4x7? and get a 4x4 tray...Let us know JR

im growing within a unfinished walk in closet so im limited by my lack of height space. for security reasons. I have a question. on the ebb and flow system if i use rock wool. would the pump have to fill the tray so that the water levels reach a maximum height, of half the height of the rock wool or lower, and would i have to use hydro ton can my system that has the the plant in rock wool be alright without hydro ton.
