First off, scrap the chicken crap and other home made nutrients until you successfully finish some grows.
KISS (Keep it Simple). By keeping it simple you wont maximize your product, but you will end with a solid product. Once you get the basics down, then you can start experimenting and adjusting to maximize. If you have good genetics and do things simple, you will be very proud of the finished product, even keeping it simple.

When you try to maximize you have the chance of reaping greater rewards, but screwups are going to be that much easier.

Are you growing in soil or hydro?

if you want to use your chicken crap you should start a compost for next season. there are some good threads on here for composting and organic grows. i ust started a indoor compost. most any plant matter is good coffee grinds tea grinds and such but research first. good luck
