First time in coco coir

Anyone need 2 cubic feet of perlite? Lol. Ill probably return it then, I guess. Thanks for the tip
Run some with and some without, if you can’t return it. But I agree with xtsho, I got tired of messing with it and it floating off.

I do automatic drench into the coco and it drains so fast it bubbles and draws loads of air down into the medium. The roots blow up, you will love coco.

I do make a effort to wash out the coco fines tho.

I also reuse my coco and what doesn't come loose from the root ball goes in to the compost for my garden and I don't want perlite in my garden soil.. It's not great when you're growing root vegetables and they have pitting from the sharp perlite grinding into them. The way I look at it, it's just one less product to buy. Money that's better spent on liquor and beer. :bigjoint:

I have a few cubic feet of fox farms ocean i need to use as well. Thanks for the tip. Ill avoid the perlite with coco. I actually questioned using it because I noticed that the coco was already pretty loose
