First time indoor grower

Hello, i am trying to grow inside for my first time in my atic. I do not have alot of money to spend on this operation max problay $30.
I have already bought soil, pots, a 250watt heat lamp(flood light). I can problay get fans if tempature will be a problem but i need some ideas on how to attempt this, im germinating seeds as we speak.

I live in the southern north carolina area and i dont think heat should be a problem this time of year?

I have basicly 10x10 ft only and theres no walls theres the floor then like fiber glass (White fluffy stuff) Can i still grow like that?

I was planning on putting the germinated seeds in soil and having my FL light going for about 2 weeks till its starting to mature then throw my 250watt on? I am only growing 2-3 plants.

Please Referr better lights to use and a cheap non complicated setup.

10X10 is way too big for three plants. with such a limited budget u may not have the funds but i would recommend creating a smaller area for the plants maybe, 3X3 or 4X4 max. I have had friends with limited funds use tarp stapled to a wooden frame. a 250 watt lamp is just enough for your a very small space. a smaller grow area is also easier to regulate heat.

although if heat is really not a problem don't worry about it too much. hanging some reflective material around the plants with a circulation fan on them should be fine. I would recommend purchasing a thermometer as that will be you biggest problem other than light. until your plants reach around 8 inches in height floros should be fine. "what's your 250"?

From what I've read...Incandescent lights suck for growing plants...you need CFL - compact fluorescents...Lowes or Home Depot carries them and are not too expensive...however you will blow your $30 budget...save up, then grow = less frustation and wasted time.

I don't know that you want fiberglass falling on your plants.... You also can't grow with a flood lamp. Might wanna save up some more money, before you get going any further. CFL's are pretty cheap - but even they are not that cheap.
Good luck.:peace:

Well in that case i could go up to 50-70 if i rlly needed to. I have another spot in thats only 2x1 though, also the fiber glass would not be falling on the plants, it is not on the roof. I was planning on making a cardboard box setup ? would that work if i got some floruo lights? Do you think i could use a aqua globe lmao?
