Hello everyone
This is my first try at making dry ice bubble hash.
I had 64g of ww that i grew over the summer and decided to make some bubble hash out of it.
I used about 4 pounds of dry ice and a 90 and 160 micron bag.
First round was with the 90 micron bag and got 10g of hash.
Second round i used the 160 micron bag and got 4g more out of it.
I will never go back to using regular ice ever again using dry ice is so much easier, cleaner, and so much faster.

I ran dry ice several times with trim this fall. Like you, I will never make hash any other way. Watching the hash rain down out of the bags is an amazing thing to see!

Same here. Made bubble hash with ice and water and what a mess, and, a poor quantity. Dry ice is the only way to go. And don't forget to use the leftover shake to make oil. Our edibles are off the charts.

What did you do it over or in to contain the mess? It looked like pouring flour into a bowl. In the video, I saw, it looked like it would be an easy way to make a lot of hash dust and more of a mess.

Really appreciate the pictures. Did you stir it or shake it?

i have a 120 micron piece of silk screen material big enough to make a "bag" out of that fits in a 5 gallon bucket. i smash the dry ice, and layer it and the frozen trim/popcorn buds till its about 1/3 full. then i shake it, and grab a corner and "roll" it back and forth, then shake it some more. i stop after about 3 or 4 minutes and collect whats in the bucket, then repeat. i usually get two good "shakes" and one that's a little green.
a little kief gets on the floor, and my boots, i guess i could go up to one of those 10 or 15 gallon tubs, but then i'd have to find a place to keep it....

Thanks, I used 5-gallon pails for my regular cold water extraction. You make it sound easy enough!

how economical is that? i can get dry ice for 2.99 a pound at food city. i actually have no idea what a cylinder of co2 runs here
I haven't actually made any, so I'm not sure about cost vs amount produced. If you're just making a batch it's probably cheaper to buy, but if you already have a tank then it's probably fairly inexpensive to fill. I only know how to make it because I've never found anywhere that sells it around here, so I looked it up a couple of years ago.

I do it on a regular 2x6 table. I put a piece of clear plastic over the top, which I leave on the table for a cover even when I'm not making hash. It's the table in my grow room where I prep any MJ stuff I'm doing. I just remove everything from the table, use some rubbing alcohol to sanitize the surface, and then shake the micron bag over the center. Then I use a large sheetrock mudding knife to scoop everything into one pile. So fricken easy, and fun, to do!
