If you want to experiment, chop a little bit of that plant now and dry while waiting on the rest of the plant. Then, you can experience the difference for yourself; just something to think about.

Ok thank you both for the insight! I’ll wait a little bit longer. What stands out to y’all about it being too early, and what should I look for when the time comes? Just so I can learn to gauge it better myself

Depends on what strain of cannabis you have. Your plant pistils seem to be deteriorating that means harvest is ready.

What stands out is the fresh pistils. And as for how to tell it just comes with time. Read some grow journals on here and look at the plant when they harvest them.

Ideally all the white pistils will have turned color and receded.

Then you can scope the trichomes, when they are all cloudy/white you are in the harvest window.
