Hey its my first time doin the outdoor! Im doing Purple Cheese and Sour diesel. Im excited cause they smell EM-Azing!! they went into flowering early in may cause cali had bad overcasted weather but came out(stunted the growth). But heres some pics! how am i doing??
Concerns: Red/Burnt tips on fan leaves.
Note that it might be a little skimpy on the fan leaves because i pruned nearly all off before flowering. Bad Idea?

Ya my friend told me the same. I just had thought they would focus more on the buds..i was being simple minded. Lesson learned.
How do they look other then that? i was hoping for positive feedback:-?

They look good cruise over to my thread see if you see a familiar plant. Next year you will make them look better. dirrtyd

Pulling the leaves off before flowering is like pulling the wings off a honeybee to make it more aerodynamic. They're there for a reason, if the plant doesn't need them, they'll turn yellow and die. Then pull them off. The plants look strong and healthy, nice job.

Good Analogy! thanks! ill post more pics when i see a big enough change.

I also wonder(like everyone) how much the yield will be. My expert pot guru says im looking at a pound together :)

I definitely dont see a pound there my friend a few ounces definitely not an lb dry. dirrtyd

yea id say probly about 2 ounces a plant.
and its would only be a good thing to maybe cut the tips of the fan leaves, its stresses the plant to send sugars up the stalk which is then takin in by the buds.

Nice lookin grow, and great for your first time. Appears to be a Sativa dom. Without seeing the trichomes I think it looks about a month from harvest. Light looks good. Let them go for as long as the weather will permit (or till 1/4 of the trichomes are amber.) I think you'll be disappointed if you harvest too soon. Don't worry about the weight. I think most folks woud take quality over quantity. If they fill out like a typical Sativa dom. I think you'll be very close to your pound...Good Luck...Dan

If you've got more plants hiding out you might hit that lb, but from those in the photo no. Who cares what you get... smoke that shit.

Thanks guys! I'm under the impression it might be nute locked right now. So ill wait a week or so before i give it anything but water. Ill keep the pics comin!

i dont see any nute lock in the pics are they older? and some people say taking the fan leaves are good some say its horrible for the plant really just depends on who you talk to. I wouldint worrie about taking the fan leaves off those plants look big strong and healthy, buds look big so really i dont see any ill effects of taking the fan leaves IMO it doesnt hurt the plant all that bad.

Well...major bump.. but its update time!!!! More pics from last night and today! I think for my first time, this aint to bad. I still think ill get around a lb :)
Let me know what u all think :peace:SAM_0274.jpgSAM_0271.jpgSAM_0272.jpgSAM_0273.jpgSAM_0267.jpgSAM_0261.jpgSAM_0262.jpgSAM_0259.jpgSAM_0268.jpgSAM_0270.jpgSAM_0266.jpgSAM_0265.jpg
