I don't know a whole lot about plants but I do know u don't want more than one plant in a pot as they'll end up competing for water, nutrients, water, ect.U might end up losing one in the long run.Anybody can correct me if I'm wrong here.

Nope, your right. More than one plant per pot is bad, due to the facts that you stated, also the roots can become intertangled, and if you ever try to move one, then you can fuck them both up.

I almost lost my whole crop cause I had half in one container and half in another. If I wasn't keeping an eye out I woulda never caught em.Took me 2 hours to untangle all my plants an have had em all in seperate pots ever since.I also try not keeping my plants that close together even in seperate pots as they'll still compete for light and won't bush out as much.I keep every plant at least a foot or 2 from the next to give em their own space.

you can still let them grow in the same pot, just make sure you transplant them into their own pots b4 they get too big.

Transplanting can cause stress though. If you see my photos on my site the ones I transplanted did not grow at all in the last week where the others doubled in size.

well i too had the same problem: 2 plants in 1 pot and transplanting them worked just fine with minimal stress

i had four females in a five gallon pot one year. they didn't get very big. maybe all four together equaled what one big one would have been. they didn't strangle each other though.

transplanting will always cause a bit of stress, but as long as you keep the roots in tact, and pull out enough soil around the roots not disturbing them too much it'll be fine. remember to give the plant a good watering in the new pot/soil.

In a pot size you can handle then the roots would not get injured with a transplant and it would be most benifical to give them the freedom to stretch as the plant growth rate will dictate. When we are speaking of digging a plant up out of the ground or in my case a 48 gallon container of promix which give way to the root growth super highway then if you do cut some of them it will cause stress. In clay like soil it may take a couple weeks before most would have to worry about digging them up and hurting them. I would say a plant can lose up to 10% of their roots and be fine.

When I would clone heavy back in the day I would fill up humidity domes with bathroom cups the size of a shot glass. Once they had some root growth they would veg in 16oz or 12oz cups (sometimes 6oz.) for a while. I wanted to see if I could make shorter plants by having a shorter network of roots so I would cut the roots that hung down from my 6 to 8 oz cups before they got a one gallon for bud. I did not see much differnce in yeilds from ones that where and were not cut. I super cropped the stems so it was not the best test for hieght. I would end with tons of single colas 8 inches long about 10 inches from the soil all together with a bottom stem the size of a finger. Some got pierced with grow rocks and such too.

yea it took me a bit to figure the closer i planted them, the shorter they would be.

but seriously the ones i started in pots that i maintain arent doing nearly as hotly as the ones that i threw the seeds in the dirt and walked off. Theyre fucking lush.
