First time scrog

Hey guys, First time trying out scrog. I think started training a little late but it seems to be coming along alright. I topped early on and then again as the plants recovered but I wish I would have tied more branches down early on to help fill the screen. I have two beast madness plants in a 3x3 tent under a 600w led I think next round I will only run one plant as it’s starting to get a little tight. The first two pictures are from before I cleaned it up a bit and the third and fourth are after. What do you guys think? All comments welcomed. Thanks.

I'm going to try SoG with 3x pink crystal fully fem ,what light would you recommend, and with you saying you wished you'd tied them down earlier, what would this of done? And when should I start to Use SOG :) yours look great BTW :)

When bending the branches down it opens up the plants canopy to allow more light in so the auxiliary or secondary shoots can grow up to be even with your canopy. I have never done SOG but I believe the idea is to fill as many clones as possible with very little veg time and no stress to the plant (I could be wrong this is just my understanding) for lighting requirement what is the size of your grow area...thanks I’m pretty happy with it so far I’m looking forward to flowering and hopefully watching the tent fill with fat buds.

Seems legit, because when I was pinning each branch back during veg the new shoots came from the corner of the stem, but unfortunately it stopped growing and just grew outwards and didn't grow taller which I was hoping for abit more before it started to expand. Mabye I will veg longer before I top and use some nutes to stretch early so less stress before topping and pinning.. But is the plan to keep topping while S.O.G untill your size is what you want?.. Mine ended up as the vision of an auto flower. I can send over pictures. If you'd like to see. It was the one plant with no net Involved, just improvised. First time indoor grow. My last was a purple Pine Berry. Grew on my window ledge and outdoors. Just switching between the two. And I'm hoping for that too dude, I hope you get what your looking for, and produce some absolute royal smoke

Just to make sure we are on the same page here are you talking about SOG (sea of green) or SCROG (screen of green) because the main idea in SOG is to have one main cola that the plant focuses all its energy to where in SCROG the idea is to fill the screen with multiple bud sites before you switch to flower. So I believe if doing SOG you wouldn’t Top or train at all. The idea behind bending and topping is to get a shorter fatter plant where SOG you want small plants

Top
