First time seedling can anyone tell me what’s wrong

I'm not an organic grow type of guy, so these dudes probably know way more than me. They do look hungry. Just IMHO (not criticizing you), that soil looks aweful. Especially the last picture. It that wood chips/sticks in it? Hay? Just curious for my own knowledge....

I start my seedlings with 2 parts of FoxFarm Ocean Forest, and one part of #2 or #3 perlite. No food required for a good Month. Just water. Maybe try that next time? I can only say it works for me.....

Otherwise- they are really light green. Need food....

BTW- those are good, clear pictures too!

Everyone here wants to see you reap a harvest, even the grouchy sounding people. --- Keep it up.

Posts above are probably more knowledgeable than mine, but I'll say this ---
when my plants are babies, I have a strong tendency to over-water; and yours look similar to mine in that condition IMHO.

Currently, my babies are a bit bigger than yours 2nd week, 3rd nodes coming in now.
Really easy to overwater when they're so small. I try to water about 5-6 oz of RO water - starting around the stalk and working to the middle.

Here's a FFOF guide, in case you decide to use it.

Hey guys so I decided to go with professor coco 70/30 and I added quarter feed and cal mag to three of the kids I found when I took them out of there pots the roots were super thin and brown for the seedlings and the bigger one was healthy white

Cool I think your right because I pulled them out of the soil they were in and placed them in coco 70/30 and from I’ve been researching brown roots can be from overwatering

God luck with your grow!

Do you have a journal for this grow?
They're really helpful for keeping track of your grow as well as getting advice.
