Hey everyone, I've been cooking my soil for two weeks now and my ph is a little high. I mixrd up 1 cf of organic potting mix 1.5cf of worm castings and cow and rabit and chicken manuer, 1.52cupscf of perlite, and a few shovel fulls of topsoil for my base. Amendments are hydrated lime ( tho now I know I shouldn't have used) also a cup of fast acting gypsum, 1cup of crushed oyster shells, 6 or so egg shells, 1cup fish bone meal, 1cup blood meal, 1 cup alfalfa meal and pellets, 1 cup organic plant tone ferts 3-4-4, 1cup kelp meal, 1 cup organic rice. My ph is about 7.7. I'm sure I probably have a little too much calcium going on. I just need to know what I should do to fix this and drop my ph down to a good level.. and also would the hydrated lime have done to much damage to the micro life to try and use this mix or should i I probably start over? Any help would be great guys. Thanks
