The taller they go straight up, the more bud sites you could have.

So should i completely fill the screen and then allow to start growing vertically?

Yes, fill the canopy then let it grow up. Try to promote tops evenly through the net. In your pic you should avoid the crushing of growing shoots into the net intersections.
If you haven't already, get rid of anything below the net that won't make it up to the light without interfering with a more senior top, if you see what I mean.
I personally defoliate any leaf with longer than 1.5" inch stem at this point, especially below the net. ymmv.

Yeah I had to place screen at that height to make sure it cleared everything I needed to fit inside of tent(humidifier, dehumidifier, fans, etc.) she actually has grown into the screen
Thanks for the advice, I’m going to give her a a couple more weeks
