i have big bud and bud candy, with 5, 6ft tall flowering, soil plants.. the big bud powder says 1.5 tsp per 5 gal if i do that my ppm is only 400 or so? and the bud candy says 4 tsp per gallon that only brings the ppm up like 50? right now i'm going to give them both but the ppm is only 500 .for the next watering i need to know how much i need to give them i've heard 1400-1600 is right ? thanks

I'm no expert, but I'll try and help. I use Sensi Grow and Bloom. The Big Bud and Bud Candy are enhancers not all around nutrients. So mix your base nutes at say 1000ppm then add the recommended amount of Big Bud and Bud Candy. Maybe back off a bit on the base when using the enhancers if your plants are nute sensitive.

i have to agree...if you're not using ANY nutes..other than the soil and the enhancers...then yeah...you're gonna have a really really low ppm...if you've not used nutes for these girls already and they are going well..then...you're keeping a really good eye on things...watch the plant...she'll tell you what she needs...just remember as a soil grower..when you see change..it's already too late...so make 'baby steps..baby steps' when adding the new nutes....other than that....use half strenght nutes if you're introducing them to the bloom nutes...this is nutes..not the enhancer.....anyone else wanna join in on this one???

I gotta agree with everything you've said here.
Soil is too dang tricky for me because when things go wrong, you're just screwed.
Love hydro since you can switch things up a bit more when you notice things are wilting or burning.
Yes on the half strength of the nutes at that point. THat's something that is s standard in my grow schedules now. Start slow and you'll grow big - that's the policy to follow!!!!!
