First timer. (Dwc)(scrog)

Yo hello all. My name is rob. This is my FIRST hydro grow and I decided to go with DWC with a SCROG on top. What do you guys think?
Here are the roots right now....what do you think. I dont like the color and I believe I have the "slime".... so I have some of hisenburgs tea brewing and it should be ready in 24hrs. But im really excited to see what happens.
Anyways this plant your seeing is a OG KUSH cutting that I only vegged for 32 days! And it had a canopy of 32×32.
She is under a 1000w hps and gets fed the whole techna flora line. She has fully "stretched" I believe and now is roughly 44×44 inches in diameter! Im hoping to get 8-10 ounces out of this big bit*h....any info or insight would help thanks guys. BTW I'm a legal MMMP HARD CARD HOLDER.

Maybe throw some aquashield into your res and h202 to get those roots a little brighter. Good looking plant

NO NO NO no h2o2 in the res with aquashield! Aquashield is beneficial bacteria, and it needs food and time to breed. The EWC tea recipes that people post are comprised of beneficial bacteria, protozoa, nematodes, and fungus (depending on what you put into it).
H2O2 will kill all them good guys right off.
I am doing a scrog as well, though my ladies are waiting for the net. Not as bushy and wide as I would like (doing a 2 month veg heh heh).
When you FIRST put the tea into the reservoirs, you will notice a "sludge" build up on your roots. This is completely normal. If you look at my post, you will see that my roots did the same thing, then turned white over the course of a week. I also use Floralicious+ and that stuff will stain ANYthing haha.
When you treat your res, the fungus will grow ON and INTO the roots, coating them in a protective layer. The bacteria do it as well by forming a biofilm.
The Fungus in your roots will increase the amount of nutrients and water your plant can consume.
Trust me....its TOTALLY worth it man.

Dont like what is going on here at all guys WTF! look at all the yellowing...also I know that my res temps are too high mid 70's most of the time. Im running EWC tea now with 800-900 ppm of nutes and ph around 6. I hope I can bring this girl back...man I really wanted 8-10 ozs. Plus on this plant....I dont think it will happen now. Shes not happy

She's got a shit ton of nice bud sites man, I think she'll be okay. It doesn't look too serious.

Had my blueberry do the same thing. Started about the 3rd week in flower, yellow everywhere ! I mean, the leaves didnt wilt or harden & crumble.....just yellowed gradually. All I could think of is maybe a mag problem seeing as they say the plant uses more mag during flower. Started adding more cal-mag &it slowed a little. Started foliar feeding also which helped even more but all n all, it just kept yellowing.

Nooooooo omg within 24 hrs the yellowing has doubled and some bud sites are literally drying....I want to fuckin cry(excuse my language) im standing here in shock!! So what I think im going to do is completely empty the res and add water...I have the ewc tea but man it seems to have made it worse I need help guys....some last ditch effort to try and save this lady.....she was the baddest plant I've ever grown....only to fail and die in flower.....wtf

whats your ph at? also hows the water there, do you have a high ppm count? what nut formula are you running? and at what concentration?

MJD, hey bud thanks for replying. From the very beginning my ph has always been on the high side 6+ but never more than 6.5ish...well in the begining I thought that was fine because I didnt know better. But for the last 48 hrs I have kept ph below 6 like 5.6ish to 5.8ish.
As far a nutes. I run technaflora line at 75-90% my ppm's for the last couple weeks have been at 800-900ppm.

As silly as it may sound I think I know what I did. 1st. My res temps are way too high 75+ almost all the time unless its like the middle of the "night" for them. Then they may drop below 70. But once lights pop on they rise again.
2nd. Maybe tried to "over correct" issues. 3rd. Was the high ph. Too acidity which Way bad.

Also guys this was crazy because there were parts on the plant that were fricken drying. Like the leaves on some lower areas would curl up and crumble. Like the plant had been drying for. Couple days. Soooo long story short I had the slime suffercating the plant and the ph locking it all out. At least thats my thoughts.

I don't see anything wrong with that plant. The yellowing is normal when the plant is almost finished. It looks alright to me.

The plant is ONLY 5 wks into flower. Its a og kush strain which goes 10 weeks. The plant is no where near done. Unless by done you mean fried lol. Im going to salvage this plant. I know these plants are resilient as all hell. My buddy over fed and burned his first hydro plant. But it didn't stop him from pulling 13 ozs. Off his FIRST hydro plant.

Hey Rob, yeah, that ph can be a bitch. I also thought I was good @ having it a lil over 6.0, but after having my pineapple start to slow in growth @ 6.0-6.1. When I lowered it to 5.7 she exploded & never looked back.

I then started checking my ph 2-3 times a day. I try to get to it when lights 1st come on cuz after 12 hrs ph may have crept back to 6.0 range where she would stop drinking, so until the ph was corrected precious hours with lights on would be wasted. Def check @ lights on & right b4 they go off.....dont wanna go a full 12+ hours with ph off.

Water im realizing is so touchy. Plants love being submerged in the h2o IF the conditions are just right. Well I changed out the res as well. I went from the two bucket system(one was and "external" res so I could check ph and temps and what not)now I put her into a 20 gallon brute container. We shall see. For some sick reason I think not only will I save this plant. But it will still be my biggest yeilder. Previous record is only 4.5 oz. Out of soil.

Keep us posted... she doesn't look bad to me offhand.

Not too good at all....I just got done chopping about 30% of the plant off...it was all dead and drying.<---that was a post I started about a week ago and never finished.
