First timer growing single clone.

Hello, This is my first post here.

I am looking to start a very small flouro grow. Im planning on getting one clone from the local dispensary. I want to start with just this one, and no mothers or anything like that because I want to kinda test my chops with growing if you know what I mean. Im not too worried about yeild or anything, I just want to kind of see how the process works, and get an idea of what scope I could expect to continue to do grows in , etc.

On to the meat of my question, I am probably going to use a floro/compact floro, and the highest wattage possible. I have a grasp on the fact that I shouldnt flower until the roots have had a few weeks to develop and could hold up some decent flowers. What im not sure on is for this initial grow, how many watts should I be worried about this single clone having. I have heard something like 50 w/sq ft. but Ive also heard its debatable. Ill probably build a little grow box for this experiment, incorporate a fan and the light in it, and it will most likely be in soil.

So for some tips/

1) What kind of soil would be good / economical for this small of a grow.

2) What should I have in preperation if i expect to see even a small (few grams) yeild from her.

3) How much wattage should I need for this clone to grow, and for this clone to be able to flower decently?

Again im trying to be as economical as possible especially with this small first time grow.

Let me know if you have any tips or ideas for me. Thanks in advance!

:peace:
