First timer HELP ME OUT please!! dont laugh. lol

Im trying to figure this growing thing out ive been researching all day and i have a couple questions.

Im growing a plant its 12 days old. And i was wondering can you only tell the sex of the plant after you flower it??

And do you wait untill the plant is big, strong, and like a month old before you flower it??

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. If you want your plant to produce much you need to wait until it is big enough to have several bud sites on it, a month would do it, maybe more if you have enough space and if you want it bigger. And with some strains you can tell the sex a bit before the flower stage, I've heard that Lowryders can be sexed at as early as 2-3 weeks. Although you don't wanna throw it out until you are sure so it's wise to wait until it begins flowering and you can really tell if it's pistillate or staminate. Hope this helps

Your plant will show you when it is ready to start flowering. A plant from seed can only start to flower once it is sexually mature. As the plant grows the branches grow out in pairs, one on either side of the main stalk. When they stop growing in pairs and start alternating, one will grow then another about an inch or so higher, you know you plant is mature enough to flower. This usually starts to happen around the 10th internode. The bigger you let her get before switching to flowering the more bud she will produce.

You can 12/12 from seed but you wont harvest much,all strains will grow preflowers if vegged long enough,usually about a month or more then you can determine sex.

fractus knows whats good, and you wont know sex untill a week+ into flowering unless you have female seeds a clone from a female an autoflowering strain or you are psychic. keep doing research my man and you will learn alot from this site. its like no one person alone knows evrything but combined as a comunity there is no greater knowlage about growing
