First Timer - Need Help Identifying Leaf Problems

Hello everyone :) This is my first attempt at growing and within the past week I've noticed some problems in the leafs that I could use some help with. I uploaded pictures (maybe a few too many, but thought they would help in identifying the issue). I should note I started on August 31st, so it's been 2 months. Oh and I'm growing indoors.

What I've noticed is yellow blotches, extreme dryness and curling of the bottom leafs, and discoloration on the leaf tips. If anyone has any tips on how to fix this or what I may need to buy, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the help!!

Not too sure but looks like signs of nute burn, what's your soil and what nutes are you using?

Ah okay, I haven't heard of that before but I'll look into it. Unfortunately when I started I didn't have the cash to get "proper" soil or fertilizer, so I just dug some up from my garden in the backyard. This was more of a project that my neighbor was doing and then later became mine to take care of, so I'm learning day by day here. I haven't directly provided any nutrients to the plants yet, but I'm willing to go buy whatever is recommended to help them out.

note: I am planning on buying a pH tester soon

Best of luck with your grow, a ph tester is a good decision, I didn't think of that, so that may possibly be something to look into.

Just my opinion, but your soil looks like mud and it could be compacting the root system as well as holding in to much water/nutes...I would transplant into some good cheap soil with some perlite for drainage and water her and let her set for 3-4 days...she will come back :bigjoint:...and there are alot of Miracle Grow haters :cuss: but I've used it with great success and my sis in law still does...and it's cheap along with the MG perlite... for 10 bucks you could have soil/perlite to spare :eyesmoke:...good luck and welcome to RIU
