Hows it going everybody. I've been following RIU for quite a while now. Ive been interested in growing ever since ive been introduced to the lady. But a few years ago, picked up a girlfriend, who loved to smoke, but wouldnt let me do my own thang! SO, got rid of her a couple months ago, and replaced her with a very beautiful 3 branched Santa Cruz Blue, which i pretty much instantly started some LST on her, and to my eagerness, snapped the main stem she had coming out of her, so i was left with 2 :[ but all got well!!!!!!...

I received my baby in a 6in pot, i had absolutely nothing for her when i got her. NOTHING. SO I put my knowledge from RIU to the test...

I started off by modifying a 5 socket lamp to be my veg light. ( through setting up my grow, i have cut my hands sooo many times working with sheet metal, be careful! shit stings when you are cleaning your supplies and what not with alcohol.. ) SO ya, I set up a little enclosed area with a light and a fan, and went from there..

I started off with just plain water, i soon ordered some nutes, and then i started watering her with nutes every single time, (BAD IDEA. DUHHHH) well anyways, live and learn a lot...

SO, My beautiful lady felt like she was gonna die for a second.. Flushed her for about 2 weeks straight with water now.. I started off buying a bag of FFOF soil, and i guess that shit has plenty of nutes for my plant to live a happy life. I then later bought some FFHF soil.. My idea is im going to styart off my babies in the Happy Frog( party cups) then, when rooted well, transplant to bigger pots with ocean forest.. I ha vent used nutes for about 2 weeks, im gonna probably start feeding my flowering plant some nutes pretty soon. Im kind of scared of doing so though, I believe im just gonna give about %25 of the recommended dosage of nutes, Ive never watched a plant through out the entire life cycle, so once i (hopefully) get this first lady out, i'll have an idea of what the ladies want..

I have MANNNYYYYYY pictures, been really into this, I've been spending an amazing amount of time, just watching her grow, its awesome. SO, here we go.

When i started out, just looking at what i was working with made me realize i needed to step things up. So my plan is to have a full time functioning system, that stays clean!

Would love feedback, and suggestions.

Thanks to RIU, ive been able to make some delicious, wax/oil/flake and now im using her for her grow knowledge.. Cheers!!!!! wish me a world of luck..

Im not really sure how to post, so bare with me!!

So here we are, current status.. I transplanted 5/6 clones, 1 of them could use some more rootage.

Ive been using straight water in the clone bubbler machineeeee. and they like it! i did not cover the bottom of the cloner container with light proofing stuff, because i figured aint much time for root rot to happen, and i wanna be able to see my roots!!

To date, this is about how much ive dropped on the entire system

abouttttt

$240 for 600watt light

$90 for 6in inline

$65 cfl lights

about 300-400 on random shit (building materials: wood, sheet metal, containers, nutes..

I got my poly fil for free from amazon! they fucked up on shipping, refunded me, and i got a free roll, 10'x100'

I also got some mylar for free from old housemate, sweet!!! reflectiveness has been soooo appreciated by my ladies..

I pretty much got most of the components for my grow situation from pro build, and amazon..

p.s. I LOVEEE THISSSSSS (growing)

GO GIANTS!!! cmon 49ers

So for the past few days, i have kind of just been holding my breath on this cloning situation, and well, everything.. About a week ago, i saw a tiny brownish orange looking insect scurry ACROSS ONE OF MY LEAVES, i panicked and asked my friend for advice, he said to drop a few drops of liquid dish soap into my spray bottle, and get all around the plant. SO, i did, my spray came out a tad soapy, and i doused all plants... I left the soapy spray on there, and did not come back to respray(clean fresh water) for 4 hours, i then really rinsed the leaves with the spray, trying to get as much soap off as possible.. As i was rinsing, I found 4 dead black bugs on top of one leaf!!! I was happy and pissed a the same time. SO! since then, i have not notice any bugs, It sucks that they are an issue, but oh hell, bring it!

BTW, i have organic dish soap, so i feel like im using a pretty healthy method here...

My friend just got mites, and hes about 1 week from harvest, did the same idea, and so far, bugs are gone, and plants are thriving!!

SO yupp, here we go..

About 12 hours after transplanting, my little babies were really looking scary.. BUT, 24 hrs later, they look like they have a chance!

Im over wanting a clear container for the reservoir of my cloning machine, I was advised to get those roots thriving as early and as often as possible, SO, after the last clone comes out, im gonna darken her up on the bottom..

my lady in flower is really sprouting up.. hoping for a zip + off of her, AND MORE SO a successful smoke!

im thinking of adding a little bit of nutes to the next feed, when she was growing up, it seemed like the nutes really did help, but then i just couldnt stop!!! so yaaa, gonna slow it down. overall, i is a very happy daddy!!!

So here are some pics, the first few are of my flowering lady. the stems dont look anything like my 2 beautiful ladies in veg (last 2 pics)

is this lacking something? or too much of something? The Flowering lady has been through a lot, i was abusing her for a while with full nutes.. she is in fox farms ocean forest, only been doing water for last 2 weeks..

All 3 plants are in FFOF soil..

BTW. My 1 bigger flowering plant(and 6 clones) is a Blue Santa Cruz. And my 2 smaller Veg plants are Purple Kush..

So this post is to mainly show how the babies are doing in the new dirt, within the past few days, they have sprouted right up to the light, i can see new growth, they making me really satisfied..

as for my flowering plant, i recently hacked out a lot of the lower fan leaves, took off a few lower nodes that were really struggling for light.... And yuppp, just trying to focus on my tops. the BCZ in flower seems to be handling the transition and the nute burn recovery pretty well..

i couldnt just throw out the lower nodes that i took off, so i threw them in the cloner! we'll see what happens in a week or so, i have high faith in that thing!!

Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeers!!!

Hey! You are doing your 18hrs light at night time? I thought about that here in socal having big temperature problems it heats up way too much. I kept the light cycle running on daytime to have a good temperature difference at night but might change it. Are you happy with running everything at night?

very happy! the one thing i dont like though, is that im at work from about 8-4, so i only get a little bit of time in the morning, and at night to spray them, take care of them.. Other than that though, the concept works reallyyyyy well..

I have two different light cycles going on.. My Mother/clone/veg room has 12 cfls on 24 hours a day, no off.. Temps range from about 70-80... thats been my schedule for the last month +, and the ladies like...

As for the flower room, the temps in there are controlled by the temps in my bedroom where it pulls air from .. My exhaust works really well.. SO, at night, once the temps start dropping below 70deg (in my bedroom) that means time for lights off.. i leave my window cracked open just enough so its not below 65 in my room, (or at least i try to maintain it like that)... and as long as temps dont go above 80 deg inside bedroom during the day, things are pretty consistent in there... temps range from 70-77 in there..

yuppppp, gonna go take a peek at your page now, see if you got more good news...

So here are my cycles at there finest...

The BCZ in flower: ive recently taken sooo much off of her, i had no idea all those leaves were in there! I remember training her in the beginning, having no idea she would bush up so much.. So yup, trying to focus the growth on the bigger stems. took out LOTS of under shit.. AND while doing so, im experimenting with tiny clones.. heheee

the veggers: these puppies are doing pretty well, generallyyyyyyy. I think i hit the bigge one and kind of the smaller one with too many nutes, its allll good, last time i did that, shit got really nasty, and recovered, but these guys are (pretty tough knock on wood :] ) gonna give them water for a couple more weeks before nutes.. ANDDDDD as for the smaller of the two, im thinking of throwing her into flower pretty soon here, i fimmed her, so im hoping i can see some good shit.. Till i throw her in the 12/12 completely, im letting her stay in the 12/12 while the light are on over night ( for about 8 hrs), then i put her back in the 24/0 chamber. Im hoping this helps her develop denser...

the clones: look at them! some show signs of burn, but its all good, id say about %85 of the leaves look healthy... I took them off a not so much healthy mother, so i feel like theyve had to struggle with issues out of there control from the beginning.. And im hoping i dont burn these ones, and get a really nice lush mother out of one..

the ones being cloned: SO, i got 1 in there that has been rooting since i did the first clone pulls 10/16/2012 ish, shes looking really niceeee, gonna try and get some very fat roots, then transplant in a couple days or so... AS for alll the other little tiny clones in there, well, thats just an experiment.. These are cuttings from the flowering plant, they were gonna be trashed, so i figured i give this a whirl. we shall see in about a week whats uppppp

OK, so here I have 2 pics, 1 of is my beautiful babies, which i hope will thrive muchhhh better than there mother. and produce even better babies! but, you cant choose them all :p

AND my 2nd pic is of the PK mother. Most of my problems have been because of nute burn, but im not positive about this one...

I have tried to find similar pictures of problems like mine, its been hard, I may post this in another thread to get a btter lead..

I have a hunch is the leaves theres some heat transpiration happening..

When i have the cfls about 2 in from the foilage, the temps range from 70-82 tops, and the chamber is 65-80 tops.. also had the oscillating fan at medium setting..

Today, I have currently pulled up the lights abbout 3 -4 in above foilage, put the fan to low, and yaa. seeing what happens in next few days..

We shall see what works! but my knowledge sucks, some help would be appreciated!

OK, been looking at my grow thread, and i think i learned enough just from my past efforts.. My first plant, i nuted the shit out of, you can see it had a pretty unhealthy childhood.. Ya, so once again,i need to stop this nute stuff, i dont know what im doing yet.... My Big pk was looking decent here..

Alrightyyyyyy. So here we go, i just transplanted 4 party cups(bcz) to soil today, put them in 1 gal pots, im gonna let the stalks beef up a bit before the 12/12.. All the little experiments in my cloner are showing roots! thats awesome, im gonna give them a couple more days, then put them in party cups, and straight to 12/12.. I need to clone my Big PK mother plant, she is reallyyyy filling up, and has some super nice amazing clones ready to snatch.. but i need free space in my cloner, or i may just build another cloner..

but anywhooo, thats the veg area. happy with the progress. i still have 1 of the BCZ in the party cup up top vegging out, the roots on the thing are doing reallllyyyy well, One of those lucky ladies is gonna be my new thriving mother :p

in the flower room

the LST BCZ is at 15 days now

and the smaller PK is at day 7 ish :] cheersss

oh yaaa, threw in some pics of some delicious crumbly stuff :p

So i took those crappy little clones outta the cloner, put them in dirt, gonna see if any look like they wanna grow in the next few days, if they do, great! 12/12 for them they will go, these are really bottom of my concern, just trying to see what can happen..

Onto goodness, So here we go! i feel like i have taken some mighty fine clones off my pk mother. She is a relaly nice thick green plant. i took 8 healthy clones off her.

I washed, and further lightproofed my cloner, ALSO, i put 4 normal clones, and 4 shaved stem clones, seeing if shaving the bottoms of the stems really helps, we shall see!

got a snap of the ladies just before they woke up

my lst BCZ is a bit yelloowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

ive dropped the ph to the low 6's for bothy plants. havent put any nutes in her for a while..

i really dont feel like wasting nutes on her, since i have no idea what the hell she wants.. gonna just keep on with the water, see where they both take me..

any pointers out there?
