First time grower!!!!!

I started some seeds in a grow room i built, sprouted great and have transplanted my babies into 5 gallon pots

The light schedule on the smaller plant got a little messed up, so there is a little bit of flowering already  but i'm told it will be ok if i throw it back into veg???

Hey Jenni,

Not a lot of females on here so be prepared for a lot of attention, a lot of growers are horny toads!

That being said, the girls are very nice in color and apparently strong. But, they are way stretched out. What is your light source, and how far from the tops is it? Also, I would suggest painting the walls of your room flat white for reflection or get some mylar. Good Luck and +rep for taking the leap into farming!

haha Thanks for the heads up man!!!! :)

But ya i heard that painting the walls really helps, I'll have to try it soon

I had a light issue at first, I was using a bulb that wasn't very strong so my sprouts were really top heavy, i changed the light to an overhead flourescent which they seem to be pretty happy with. It's pretty close to the canopy right now because i was afraid that they weren't as strong as they should be since i kinda deprived them of light at first....

horrible mother, but i still love them to death!!!! :)

Thanks for taking a look and helping me out!!!!!

You better reveg those and get 'em thicker if you want to harvest anything. Looks like you need much more light. Much more.

Lordjin is right on way more light is needed, if they stay all stretched out your stems will not grow strong enough to support bud weight.

love, yes definitley more light and closer (2") if you are using a compavt fluorescent bulb you can get a splitter and use 2 bulbs in 1 socket like this:

Lowes / Home Depot sell them too. I would at least go for 100 watt equivalent bulbs. Everybody has those.

Also as an alternatove to painting you can get Emergency blankets and hang, they work great and are very cheap... Walnart has them in camping section....

pencil stalk lol. thicken that baby up with a fan. I have never put a plant back into veg but I hear it can be done no problem, just takes maybe like 2weeks for the plant to be back to a normal veg state.

ya Jonny I'm deathly afraid of it turning into a boy , but we'll just have to see how everything turns out

it is my first time...hehe

there's much to learn

I put more soil in my pots which seems to make the plants very happy

I have a fan on them to help out my pencil stalk issue haha

here are some new pictures, but the stalk is still pretty thin on the flowering one

I had a buddy come over and he ended up pruning my plants :wall:, too soon if you ask me?

having loads of fun on my first grow!!! Thanks for all the help!!!!
