First timers worst nightmare

Ugh welp, got back from a quick few day vacation lastnight to a horrible sight. 3 weeks into flowering, 2 of 12 girls (my space is very confined) started hermming and started throwing nanners very low in between some lower branches that I couldn't see well enough. I thought putting a plastic bag over and removing fast would save me, but upon further inspection, it looks like unfortunately the ENTIRE crop was pollinated by them, full of freaking seed pods. FEELS BAD MAN!!!

I immediately double checked light leaks and see if my timer was off, and it was fine. I read that this is becoming a very common occurrence with bad genetics? My girls never were truly TOO stressed at least from what I can tell? Something I can do to prevent this in the future besides obviously not be a dipshit and not inspect every node carefully?

The strain i grew in my profile picture hermd on me and was fucking A1. Not to many seeds to make it unpleasant. I'd say 30 beans from 3 ladies.

as a matter of fact im running those hermied seeds right now. Sea of Green

hermies make more hermies.
Thats bullshit dude. Dont just spew info without a factual understanding for things. The best strains we have today came from reggie bagseed and seedy landraces (thats a fact). So by that logic everything we have at our disposal would contain a hermie gene. I just don't think there is such a thing. I strongly think it all has to do with environmental stresses and the plants natural response to reproduce before it dies. Seeds are seeds. You have females, autos, regs. No more, no less.

Cannabis wouldn't be the first biological entity to be able to reproduce without pollen/male etc. Therefore i believe every cannabis plant has the ability to turn seedy. And it requires proper nurturing and care with finicky strains to produce them to there best avail with no stresses or seeds.

If you have FIRE genetics and pass them to somebody who didnt necessarily grow them poorly but they werent able to make them thrive the way the breeder did than yeah i think ur weed might have a better chance going seedy with great genetics because you have to be a great grower to reap the rewards of a great strain.

Not so, we have a member here that did a medium home grow with herm seeds and they turned out fine.
yeah sometimes you get lucky. But its like people with downs syndrome- they have like a 50/50 chance of their kid having downs as well.

I've had 100% female rate from seeds I've found say in some lower buds on a plant...plants can do that as a reaction to stress it doesn't have to mean it had hermie genes...all the random bagseeds I've found here n there that I've grown out always turn out fem too...I've never had any just herm on their own under good conditions without being stressed somewhere throughout the grow with training or lights or nutrient issues.

I edited my post and brought up some of these points as well. Thank you for posting. Its important to stop the spread of misinformation !

Define "seed pod". lets see some pictures.... I get the feeling u r over reacting.
I shouldve taken pics but I was a bit pissed and chopped. Literally every cola had visible seeds in it already lol you could pick them out and there were MANY of them. Id say they took up roughly 60% of each site? I had a fan blowing directly on the little nanners that fell off the hermies lol so that SURELY didnt help me. Pretty blown right now, luckily I have a steady source of flower to hold me over. Got some new beans from someone else germing now. Ugh better luck next time.

Grow them out, harvest the seed and smoke the bud you can.

Try again after a solid cleaning.
The buds were literally turning to all seeds lol. I have enough $ to take the hit, but damn hit hurts. Im starting all over this weekend. What type of cleaning do you recommend? I know for a fact I should get a new carbon filter.

Just wipe down everything. Clean the fans. You dont need a new carbon filter, just wash the pre filter.

There is your first problem
Hahah, well judging by how far along the nanners were, I had missed them for possibly atleast a week or so before that. Being my first run, I misjudged how many girls I could truly fit in there lol and it got a bit crowded making it super hard to see them. From above, it all looked female. Lesson learned though, inspect EVERY node next time! Lol chucked the seeds from those breeders as well.
