Fixing my ph in soil..Help

Here's the issue...

I noticed some issues with my plants... I am in wk4 of flower and leaves started going yellow. SO I bought some distilled RO water and watered one of them until I could test the ph of the runoff. The ph of the runoff was a super low 4.8.

How do I fix this? Also how did this happen? I water with 6.3-6.5ph EVERY time. I use H&G nutes, if that helps....

Please help!!! :-(:-(:-(

what type of medium are using and how long did you veg for if u dont mind me asking? im very new to this too and i vegged some plants in the same pro mix soil for almost 2 months tryin to make them into bushes, same thing using 6.4ish feed/water each time yet ended up with a low 5.5 ish. from what ive heard/read the peat in the soil is breaking down over time and that can lower ph. Usually good soil mixes come with lime or somthing to buffer against this but with a long veg time you may need to add some yourself especially with long veg times like mine and possibly yours? i added somthing like a tablespoon per 4 liters ( approx 1 gallon ) soil and added that to the top layer (pre moisentened for about an hour which i heard helps the lime interact with the medium/water) and its slowly working for me. if you do try this get as fine of a lime product as you can, lime takes awhile to take effect and the coarse pellets can take years supposedly. if you dont have enough room at the top of your pot to add soil and lime try raking it in to the top layer you have already . also it took 2 waterings to notice a difference in runoff but its rising by about .2 per water which is perfect, nice and gentle , hope this helps

I am using soil and no veg at all... Straight SOG grow... Thanks for the advice.. Will give it go.

...rapid release dolomite lime will fight to bring your medium to 7. Add 1 tbls per gallon of soil as a top dressing, and water in as usual....good luck.


...Edit, your fertilizers probably have built up, and are now buffered into your soil causing a very low pH....it's flush time I would say, along with a good lime'n.
