Strain unknown. (Bag seed)
Seems to be 2 separate strains.
8 seeds Germd in water.
Planted seeds mid feb.
directly outside no lights, no window box, no green house. Good ol natural “sub tropical” natural Rays :) from the start;)! ......these are plants aren’t they :/
6/8 germed seeds rooted

Only really had two hard cold snaps between then and now.

I believe I am only a few weeks away!! Hope they don’t revert!!!

All organic soil,
Homemade chicken, and fish tea for fertilizer.

Had to use Seven dust mid March to combat some horn worms, other than that. No mites, no known nute issues, etc

Spring crops make wispy buds. Less power from the sun. The spring crops I've done looked like that. You just have to do more plants if you have a certain weight in mind.

Well now we are going after the most natural way! We just catch them and feed them to our beardie “Mr. Reptar Magoo”

In my spring crops the first sign of reveg was lots of white hairs. They were in the bush, so I had no way to cover them. I picked when it was obvious. The great thing about it is no one is thinking to look for weed in the spring. Keep the plants below waist high and you should be good.

They are in small 2 gallon pots, I never expected them to start to flower. Plan was to start early and do some LST and super cropping and then gorilla them. Cut some clones, weed out the males etc, have all spring/summer until October crop.

When ALL 6 showed pre buds, we decided to keep them close to home knowing they would only “triple” in size from then on, we kept them from eyes, by surrounding them with basil, fat chives, tomatoes, Norfolk pines,poinsettias, we even hung some flat red/orange ornaments over them to “blend” a tad bit better.

In this county we have verifiable reaper drones operated by the Sheriffs, not to mention we are in direct flight path of the local Air Force base, and sheriffs heli pad.

Nerves are tight, how ever like you said, not looking for the random spring harvest, all the fancy tech they use will scope out a grow house glowing on FLIRR, not some random plants outdoors.

Yup
Too many hours of light were always my downfall on a spring run
My solution was manual light dep with 55 gallon barrels
Inefficient but saved the day
Your call but those buds haven't filled and daylight is not your friend

Alarm set to open at 7close- at 7.
Do my best to keep an eye on them

At first some look ready to me but I always knew Is wait a week when you think there ready. I don’t have a macro lens lost my Jewlers loop years ago.

Yep, you need 13 1/2 hours length of day before going outside with any sexual mature {4-6 weeks old} plants. Some of the touchier strains need 14 hours.

Next year plan to put a few out earlier. I've found planting around Christmas will give you ample time to veg with lights for about a month, then toss them outside. You would want to chop them by the end of April if possible. All that I have carried into May have re-vegged on me.

I'm in NW Florida, and have lost my share to frost, but dirt is cheap and seeds are free. I do mine in the bush, but I know folks who plant them around the edges of their yards.

Spring crops are also a good time to make seeds. The bud is not going to look as good as a full season, so no stress about messing it up with seeds.

I really shouldn’t have germ’d them. Didnt have any plan of action for them or anything. Just really got trigger happy and jumped on the first opportunity I had to get some babies going.
That’s being said I never really planned on it being anything spectacular, so I wouldn’t mind a few seeds,

Now how horrible would the end flower be if they did start to revert, and I chop them anyways? Obviously maturity of the flowers being a major factor.

There are two of these 6 I would love to revert back and take ample clones for the summer. Just hope they make it thru the chop.

What will happen if you wait long enough is shoots will grow out the ends of the buds. If you are going to smoke it, cut the buds off before that. You can leave some on the stalks, and they might make a comeback and flower again in the fall.

But I wait though the white hair phase, and chop on the funky leaf phase.

From my rusty eye, I believe we should get a few smokable joints out of it and hopefully catch a buzz..
I’m checking them tomorrow, hopefully can finally hang a few up!

RIP Purple girl.... :(
Saw the girls today. Forgot my phone :/

The purple strain..... white hairy mold, entire bud structure dark amber color....opps

One of the others had one spot of mold. Chopped those today two others neeed a few more days.

What have we learned?
Even out doors air circulation is key...
Large commercial trash cans don’t make the best light dep set ups.
