Yea, I am still a newbie. When I find a hobby I like I tend to go all in. I will soak up all the information I can get and willing to try different things. I really do enjoy growing, wish I would have got into it sooner. I have many hobbies but what I like about growing is that it gives me something to do daily, even if its just a little bit each day. Plus it doesn't take a toll on my body, I am an avid bowler and golfer and they both cause me lots of pain, but I put up with it to do what I love.

Verbal update just so I can one day reflect on things. Things seem to going good, way better than expected. This is my first time growing photos, first grow was autos, not going to knock autos as I had no clue what I was doing, but the outcome wasn't choice. One thing I am a little pissed of about and I can only blame myself for not being set up properly, at least 1 if not 2 of the Bubblegum Boogie plants are really starting to shine and wish I would have taken clones. They are starting to purple up nicely, but you live and learn.

Come the New Year I will be prepared and ready to take on the task, plan on popping some seeds and hopefully getting some good mothers and start a perpetual grow. I am excited to start my next chapter of growing, and will post some new pictures soon. However if I don't get to it in the next couple day I would like to take a moment and wish all those who check in on my journal a very Happy Thanksgiving! Stay safe everyone.

You can't argue with the results you're getting. I seriously thought you've been doing this for a long time. I'm kind of in the same position. I'm really enjoying all aspects gardening. The only problem is you end op having more weed than you know what to do with.

Ok, just a bit of news and good news at that. Last night I tried to order some seeds from a seedbank. Things got a little confusing and was not sure the deal would go down, dealing with a new to me bank and all. Figured if it didn't happen it was meant to be. Just a bit ago I go a strange email and had to put somewhat of puzzle together. New strains are coming to the farm, and I am fucking stoked.

It's incredible how quickly you can excel at a hobby when you fully immerse yourself. I will tell you this hobby is a lot less frustrating than golf. If I went to the range as much as I bitched about hitting bad shots Id probably have a decent handicap. Plants look great! Along for the ride!

Looking good you sumbitch!
Hey Bandit, thanks for the kind words! Really appreciate you checking things out!

Looking great bro, nice job.
Thanks Diggs, I've been following your monster Cake closely and can't wait to hear the final numbers!

Thanks for stopping and checking things out Bobby. If you ever want to share golf stories, I am all ears. Its a love/hate thing for me, I've been playing for 8 years now. The first 2 years, every week when I left a course or range, I always said I was listing my clubs on Ebay that day, never again would I swing a club. But I was always back the next week pissed off again.

Phase 2.

With every grow I am trying to upgrade my small room a bit more. For those who followed along since the beginning of my journal, you have seen and read the steps I have made. This round was mainly upgrading the light, dehuey, and some electrical.

The next phase is adding a veg tent. I got a 4X2 tent awhile ago and recently placed it to check things out. I elected to go with a Timber 3VL for the veg tent, it might be a bit overkill for a veg, but I like the idea of having the ability to turn it up and also flower in the tent if I want to or have to due to reasons. The new light should be arriving tomorrow, with some of the components coming as Christmas gifts. So by the end of this month it should be fully operational.

I still got some adjusting and planning to do. I have enough power right now to run both as it stands. I have 55 amps available in the room, but don't have plugs yet placed where I would like them to tighten everything up. I got the spare 12/3 wire sitting right below that I spoke of earlier on in the thread that will add another 40 amps to the room.

I am think of dividing that into 2 separate 20 amp feed and placing a 3X3 tent next to the veg tent. The 3X3 I will place a shelf inside and on bottom will store mothers, with the top for propagation. Here is were I am thinking of.

I will get rid of my mixing table and place something in the next room instead. Everything is still up in the air, just thinking about things. I got some ideas where to place the dehuey as well. With the table out of the way I still have plenty of room to work on things, it will be tight but can make it work.

So yesterday while I was giving the plants their dose of NFTG's I pulled out the loop for the first time just for the hell of it. I promise you I am not trying to jump the gun, I was just curious where they were at. I looked at a few spots on the Barney's 8 Ball Kush that has been front and center in most of my pics. To my surprise I saw amber. Not much, but I saw something, and I put the loop away.

At work last night I was thinking about it, Barney's says it a 50-55 day flowering time, I've only been on RIU for a short time but long enough to know not to go by what the breeders say. So today is what I consider day 53 of flower. When I got home this morning I pulled said plant out of the tent just to get a better look. I checked all over and saw amber, still not much 1 or 2 in each look.

I could still see some clear, but a lot that I think are cloudy and kind of look "glassy" if that makes sense, which I think are the clears turning cloudy? I still know I got a bit to go and there ain't no way in hell I am going to chop early, and I put the loop away. While I had it out I grabbed my camera as I am working on my Budtography skills and snapped a couple pictures of the plant.

Nice flowers, can I be your valentine? lol

As to the ripeness, I agree with letting her go longer.

Do you think she was lacking potassium for some reason? Just noticing the leaves.

Well today marks the 28th day of flower, I will get some pics when then lights come on. Just wanted to write down a few thoughts I have about this grow and what I am thinking about the future as of now so I can reflect back on this down the road.

The one thing really on my mind lately is Nectar for the Gods. I will say I think it is a fine product and I do believe in it, the plants love the stuff. Problem is they love it too much! I feel it would be great for 1-2 plants but for anymore I don't think it financially makes sense. One of the main ingredients Herculean Harvest for example, I've already went through 3 qts, and I am just finishing week 4. I've stocked up on things and hell I got to refill some of my bottles in the morning before the next feed.

That said, I will do what it takes to finish this grow. In the end if it is OMG fucking amazing bud I may rethink things. I will continue to play with NFTG with 1 plant at a time, but as it stands right now after this grow I am making a change.

I'am thinking Mega Crop or GH, or any suggestions?
I love MC.

They look great, a bit more time though, IMO. I like all cloudy with about 15 20% amber.
I usually check mid level buds not top o the light buds.
On another note. If you have one you want clo as of monstercrop it. That's how I pheno picked my next mom for production.
This bitch was/ is FIRE. So, I left a few large buds and threw her ass under 24 hr lights and, VOILA! Those new shoots become my next batch of 8 moms, they give me my sog clones, now I'm mega cropping trays from 1 nice plant I already flowered.
For what it's worth. I mostly listen to renfro myself!15753278422512253764293972628464.jpg15753278693312989056305073267279.jpg
