going to flip to 12/12 today, is there anything special I need to do to the girls before hand? ive read 24hrs of darkeness, wait to water for 24hrs after flipping. I need to water today. im also going to get some stakes and do a little more tieing up before the girls go into the flower room. the flower room is completely light proof. my bad ass 4x4x7 secret jardin dark room 2 tent is NOT light proof. I got a ton of light leaks thru the zippers, seams around the Velcro vent rectangle openings, seams around the 8" vent holes. and all other seams. im glad I paid all that money for a premium tent only to have the same light leaks as their lesser quality counterparts (ill make another thread about that issue). I completely wrapped the tent in 6mil black plastic. then made a double entry door for added protection. I have 3 green lights in my basement as well. my cloning area light is the only white light in the area, which happens to sit next to the flower tent. but no light penetration. im dialing in my carbon scrubber/6" ventech 440 cfm w/speed controller to coinside with the intake air from my 8" 500cfm intake fan to provide nice negative tent pressure. im running my 18/6 schedule from 5pm to 11am (lights on). looking to have the flower room running from 9pm to 9am.

ive already FIM'd, lollipopped, and LST'd the PC and LB strains and supercropped, LST'd, and lollipopped the NL13/KKSC strains.

thanks everyone. looking to make the switch around 6pm tonight.

I flush every plant that goes from the veg room to the flower room. I water daily with nute water so it is important to rinse out the old nutes before starting the new. BigSteve.

ive got everything (environmentally) in check. minus dialing in the neg pressure from the scrubber and intake fan. which should take me a half hr or so. ive also read about running one more veg nute cycle while in the first week of flipping. any truth to that or should I start my flower nute regimine in next feed cycle.

I fed more of a veg combo my first week in 12/12 and IMO it was just fine. I also kept my MH in for the first week of 12/12 to reign in the flower stretch.

so im dialing in my tent today, I ran out of time yesterday to change rooms. im running a 600w ac tube xl hood with a 6" 440 cfm ventech fan running 100%. im running a 6" inlet x 8"w x 24"L with 180oz of charcoal for a scrubber with a 6" 440 cfm ventech fan at 100%. im running an 8" 550cfm booster intake fan at 75%, as well as 3 clip type fans for circulation. my max temps are 84* and 52% rh tested after 1 hr running time. I didn't know the flower room would be 8* hotter than my veg room. my veg setup is like this" 600w ac tube xl hood with 6" 440 cfm at 35%, 8" 330cfm booster exhaust fan, 6" 250cfm booster intake, and 3 clip type fans for circulation. max temps are 79* (avg 77* norm) and lows of 72*.

other than getting a 600cfm or higher fan and replace the 440 cfm fan running the scrubber, does anyone have any ideas? a/c is out of the question. I run in a basement with ambient temps of 72* +/-. if I get abiggr cfm scrubber fan, I can turn up my intake fan which should allow for cooler intake air.

yes, you must sing soft gentle tunes to your plant 3 hrs a day for a week prior to switch. Otherwise she'll stress and herm on ya. The singing eases her into it

It's not that serious, just change the timer bro.....
what the point of changing the on/off times. I grow in a basement with steady ambient temps if 72* year round.
if im running 84* w/o any plants inside, as soon as I flip my girls the temps will rise 5* or so. so dialing in the temps before I flip is my number 1 priority. I swaped out the ballast, and bulb, no change in testing. same temp. I removed the carbon scrubber from inside the tent, and removed the 440 cfm ventech fan. I put in its place another exact same 419 cfm booster fan for my exhaust. I run the same intake fan. I have the new exhaust on a speed controller at 80%, trying to dial in neg pressure with out my floor being sucked up (lol). apparently this "booster" fan has some serious balls, as its moving quite a lot of air. got her down to 80* with the new change after 30 mins. still not low enough for me. and I really don't wanna go the a/c route.

and I play trance music for my girls when ever im in the basement. they love it. its eithr the music or the fans, but those girls sure do know how to dance. lol

the more you try to be scientific about the switch, the more stress on you, the more shitty weed, just relax and enjoy the grow........

not all can be mr perfect......
