My about me has my setup listed.

Flower tent was just setup. My only question, when is the right time to lolipop? I was thinking a half OZ per plant would be nice even though I am trying to learn to yield way more. Next run I am running 4-5gal pots. Keeping feed the same for 2 weeks before adjusting.

All of these are Mother of Berries, 60 days veg just about, all showing pistols of maturity. Topped at sixth node. Left first node on or newly grown nodes due to vigorous growth, to take off latwr to help with stretching. Not sure they will stretch as short as they grow, indica dominant.

Looks like that light can come down quite a bit too @medidedicated

Not sure if it is because the light is cheap but I hear with other brands and just LED in general, that plants can be picky with the hanging distance and stress out and curl up and dry out.

Was going to lower the light gradually if they are accepting it lol. Did not want to stress until they start budding a little, but yeah if I defoliate, it would look more spacy, there are more fan leaves than nodes. I just read a lot up til now that the flip can be stressful.

Day one, I think they stretched already a tiny bit.

@medidedicated You should defoliate a lil. Those plants are gonna be to big for the tent period. You are gonna need to pluck a lot of leaves gradually over the next 3 weeks might as well start now
I was thinking they were going to turn out short, and chunky. maybe stretch twice the height, but the plant is only like 8” tall lol. Very short growing plant. Want to pluck the first node so they grow more tall and narrow.

Also leaving the foliage to help read nutrient signs, people keep saying they can suddenly throw a fit in flower and to be careful. The outer edges of each plant is all fan leaf, I hate to see them touch too. If I cut them, they would probably look good to you, will post when I do clean up. Low half is clear and breezy.

If they stay green and made progress actually flipping to bud, was going to ask here if it is then okay to do a good clean up.

Cutting first node on some of them would help narrow them a lot, weak bendy stems, bound to not be much yield but some of them have such thick first nodes that their okay and match height.

Was thinking for sure next time to prune the plant to grow tall wise. Was wondering, does 1gal not determine yield if feed frequently? with this being 50/50 coco/perlite? One of them is a 2gal, leaves as big as my hand vs the others. Next time want to do 4gal.

I start my lollipopping when there about 3/4 of the way into veg and finishing just before switching to 12/12 and then just keeping up with defoliation works for me. I get close to a half pound per plant 20220714_124756.jpg20220714_124647.jpg

Woah, per plant? do you scrog? What is your media and pot size if I may ask? light and watt? I always have to trouble asking if I get the chance, I notice a pattern lol. Genetics are a given.

Great advice! I was thinking to do that but time just hit me fast, mistakes already made. Just wanted to learn from this run and hopefully succeed in cloning so I can have a couple plants I already know from seed to harvest.

Was going to transplant but was late, just a crap show that was easier just going from cup to finish pot, already personally did that to see good results. Want to practice multi feed in small pots. Do not see why not, you quit transplanting before flower anyway.

The idea was transplant 3 or 4 times cutting roots each time and stacking pots for explosive growth each time, never saw a side by side, same thing probably, but more wirk? Someone said that here.

Hoping for a decent run but next time I have a good clue what to do, kinda what you described actually, same pattern. I just slacked and distracted learning other basic things.

This is an old photo of a mother plant, this is what happens when the light it too close or if there is no mini fan blowing at it. Lights are about 2 to 2 and half feet away from canopy to prevent this. This light scortches easily. I will lower it each time I can though.

There were a couple other issues on this old photo but trust me, the leaves pretty much do this when the light is at mfg recommendation.

That is how they continued to grow since keeping lights further up with fan blowing at the light.

Another thing, this light does not cover the whole space or else I could spread them out more. 3.5ft coverage and this is 5x2.5ft. Will have to wait on more lighting unless I use my HPS in veg tent but it is magnetic, yikes, found out about those after I bought. Also, this is 250w the other 130w, is mixed wattage okay? lol.

I have to scrog to hold up the huge buds i do two scrog nets one for LST and a second one for support. I use a mix of happy frog and ocean forest and top off with straight ocean forest when i switch to 12/12 in a seven gallon fabric pot i do three in a 4x4 tent with a 1000 watt hystorm led and two 400 watt leds and i use co2 bags also with general hydroponics floranova, diamond nector, kool bloom and a few other things

Woah thats a ton of watts lol I am already feeling it at 500 but it is much much cheaper in winter. I think with my plants so short and bushy, it kind of scrogs itself and making some nodes grow very tight, making me want to scrog a 5 gal plant.

Next time will have a good idea of what nodes and branches to snip, this is my second full cycle grow. First indoor, excited since it will get constant light. First “hydro” coco.

It is hard to use that much due to being recreational grow and only being able to have half a pound at a time. Could always immediately turn the rest into different products as a work around.
