Well share a thought for the poor people of NW England and SW Scotland after a night of the heaviest rain ever on record. In 24 hours 14 inches of rain fell with 8 inches of that in a 12 hour period over night. Bridges have been swept away and villages are under 8ft of water. Many people could only escape by breaking their way through the rooves of their houses! Unfortunately another 4 inches of rain is due tomorrow.
