Floraflex matrix vs caps

I am stuck between getting the matrix circle things or the 8 inch square caps.
I was curious as to if anybody has used both and can tell a difference.
I am wanting something that will provide a nice even coverage over the whole pot.
I have 3 gal fabric pots that will be used. I need a nice slow water so that it doesn’t go running off the sides.
so yeah. AnybOdy used these before?

I tried the matrix thingie with cloth pots before and the only way i could get them to work somewhat properly when using cloth pots was to use a much smaller matrix circle, (one that was 2 inches smaller in diameter than the cloth pots I was using because if I didn't do that water would just flow down the sides of the pots until the sides of the pots got saturated again. And even using a smaller matrix circle wasn't great because then the edges of my cloth pots stayed to dry so the roots on the edges of the pots never got the amount of water they really needed so my plants suffered! So... I gave up on that idea, but I think it would work fine if one was using plastic pots! Anyhow, if I am feeling lazy, or I know I will be away from my plants for a extended period of time and I am growing in a soil or soilless medium using cloth pots, blumats are all I use, as they simply work!
