this happened to me the other day on campus (last saturday):
so i turn onto campus property which includes perimeter roads. my campus houses the police and fire training facility for the college. they have a huge set-up with takes a whole city block complete with police, fire vehicles, fire house, burning building..huge track for police chases.
there are speed bumps on every perimeter road and in every parking lot every few hundred feet.
as i turned onto the perimeter road i noticed a battalion of students (60?) running in the road. there are 2 lanes for each side of the traffic.
they were mostly in the far right lane however there were students running in the left lane along with their instructors. the speed limit is 20mph.
now with the picture i painted how fast could i be going? no more than 20..speed bumps remember?..i waited for the instructors to shift their flock to the right lane which was a rolling stop waiting for them to get over. passing them by again rolling >5 mph then i needed to depress the gas pedal in order to completely pass. i pull into my lot and and got out of my car about a hundred feet i hear running toward me, i look up and 2 of what appeared to be instructors..giving me attitude..asking me "do you know who i am"?! "you are lucky i'm not in uniform"!! (detaining me from going to class, everytime i took a step away, i was blocked) i just couldn't resist.
apparently he's now taken down my plate and will be "watching/waiting for me"..nice! now i have 2 psycho police stalking me on campus..
i'm really tired of the intimidation and bullying they (police) think they can get away with..ever notice how they travel in pairs? so they can back each others story? i'm going to make a statement and this will be dedicated to all those wrongly done by the police. i will post the statement here. the statement will be directed to the Dean of Police Sciences with copying my dean as well.
it's time someone stood up..stay tuned to this thread for the email i'm about to send is dedicated to everyone who was ever abused or done wrong by the police. So we're square, they're white and i'm white..my college campus is 90% black 9% latino and 1% white..almost every dean is black
i'll be taking questions now, from the membership.
EDIT: now that i think of it, i may even send a copy to the miami herald editorial section.
