True that. I don't like cops because of the common abuse of power. But someone has to do the job. And where there is power there is corruption. It's just human nature and statistics. Still it's a job SOMEONE has to do. IMHO Executive and Legislative powers in this country have gotten way out of hand and the constitution has been a pissing post for way too long anyway.

I totally agree.
I dont know what we would do without cops, they keep everything safe and in order, and i already know that the first place i would call if something bad happened is 911.
I have no problem with cops except for the fact that they will bust me for weed, and if they bust me, i already knew what was coming, so thats no reason to go and kill a cop, they told me what would happen, so prepare to accept the consequences, theyre just there to enforce it, its their job. theyre people just like us, theyre on our side. if you should hate someone, hate politicians, they are the ones to hate, people who commit crimes against humanity, those i hate, they are the ones putting you in jail for smoking weed. they dont care about anybody. cops are just like the rest of us citizens, hard working people. they just dont know what they are doing, they just follow orders and are as brainwashed as most people. i think that the corrupt ones are a small percentage.

I've said this before, one of my dearest friends is a cop. He hates busting people for just weed and so do a lot of his cop friends. But, it all boils down to one thing: they have to do what they're told. Medical Marijuana was legilized in the city he works for, but federal law still says he has to bust people even if they have a permit from the city. He's let people he's caught with weed go before; he doesn't let them take the weed with them though. He makes them break it up and throw it on the road.

"It's a horrible waste," he said as he exhaled his bong hit, "But at least they don't have to go to jail."

Cops are people, too.

they know what they are doing. its their job. its what they went to school to do. they learned all about whats right and wrong according to the LAW. not what we think is right or wrong (aka weed) and so therefore its not that they are brainwashed in any manner. its that they must follow and abide by the guidelines set by the law as it is their job. it would be just like working in the food industry and being required to wear gloves and wash your hands. of course, theres probably some that dont wash their hands just as there are cops that are corrupt.

bottom line is that basically anyone who is on the wrong end of the law whether its getting busted with weed or something more is going to spout off about how much they hate cops and how terrible cops are. problem is.... like you said... you know what your doing is illegal (no matter if we see it as okay) and therefore if you're walking around with pot on you or if you're committing a crime then you have to expect that if you run into a cop you will pay a consequence for your actions.

I never hear people who dont get in trouble with the law on a consistant basis say "i hate cops" and honestly most people that say it I think are VERY immature. I mean... I think I said that when i was like 13 (and Im 23 now). Cops arent just here to be bad people. some are, but MOST are not as you said. Cops are going to be there to save your ass when you get into a sticky situation.

I mean... imagine youre at 711 getting a soda and the place is robbed and people are shot... are you saying you wont need the help of the police then? You're fucked up in the head man, if that cop was related to you you'd care. Most cops are cool and they don't actually want to be dicks but they're just trying to provide for their families.

One time really late at night when I had been smoking and was up in the mountains I got pulled over for speeding and the cop smelled the weed. He was pretty cool about it and was finally like, "Look, I won't hold it against you if you just give it to me and I'll let you go on your way."
I thought about it and I only had one gram/gram and a half sized bud left so i thought no big loss, I'll hand it over and go about my evening with only a speeding ticket, no big deal. So I gave it to him and he opened up the bag and dropped it on the ground right in front of me, right be side the car. He told me to be careful and slow down, got in his car and drove away.
I was amazed!, I looked over at my friend in disbelief shrugged my shoulders, open up the car door, picked my bud back up off the pavement, loaded a bowl and drove home. Never imagined it would've gone down like that.
Not all cops are bad, but there are enough that are to give them all a bad name.

to this day i do not understand why people smoke in their cars? smell stays for days, non smokers can smell it a mile away and the last time i interacted with a cop, yep tail light was out....
smoke at home man, or in the parking lot outside your car, dont smoke while driving, its really pretty friggin stupid!!!
