You are gonna have to get that heat under control somehow more fans, portable a/c something.

Things I'm learning ..

Your ambient house air is not enough to cool the lights unless you live in a fridge. I kepe my house at 77F to keep mold and mildew from forming, but that's not enough to cool even the 8 tube T5. I haven't even turned on my HPS and with only the T5 Floros my temps are running between 74 and 82 depending on how I 'funnel' the air through the veg room. I've ordered a stand alone AC that puts out 500 CFM and I will vent it into the flower and grow rooms running at no more than 60F and more like 55.. (hopefully that will create a 75F temp durring the day with both lights running and 55 at night with them off, can we say purp? (I could care less about the color but it seems the 'in' thing to do.)

Humidity no matter what is going to be an issue, I'm using gun safe dehumidifiers because they're cheap and low electrical usage. They've kept my gun safe at 10% humiditiy for years but haven't had to deal with moving air around inside the gun safe. Right now, in seedling stage with no dehumidifiers running I'm sitting at 51- 55% RH. Once I hit veg I'm going to have to fire up the dehumidifiers and probably the stand alone AC.

When designing my room I forgot something VERY important, negative air pressure. I 'enclose' the room 100% and I've basically created a vaccuume, I enclosed it too well. So with the combination of intake vents and the stand alone AC unit I should be doing better ....

Before anyone asks I'll be venting the AC exhuast into the attic, like the heat from my lights, it's almost 180F up there anyway, running about 130 at night, so it shouldn't 'alert' anyone out there as long as I keep the carbon filtration going.

thank for the info guys..adding intake today...now what do i do abouit the overwtwered plant...im nervous
Just can't water the bitch for a few days. Let the top inch or so dry out before you water again. Maybe you could mist a little in a couple days but that's itl

Hey retiretoker you might be able to put an attic fan up whereever your attic air releases to the outside. It might even cool your house down a little and save some $ on electric bill.

Growing up as a kid we used a attic fan to cool the house.
I did not have ac until the 90's,After my dad died.
The attic fan kicked ass,Kept the house around 10-20 degrees cooler than the Ambient temps.
That mother F***ker would suck some air through the windows.
It would actually be cold at night during the summers.

I've thought of that, I'd have to do some more wiring so I think it will wait, at least until the attic is passed 'heat stroke' temperatures but I've wanted to do that since we got the house ... It'll happen eventually.
