I used to distribute and I used to get unnamed strains from a grower referred to simply as "the cuban" :blsmoke: that were better than literally any weed i could get in the county and nobody ever disputed it. I was selling eighths for 60 (10 more than any other dealer around) and had repeat customers fer DAAYS with no complaints. I got 30+ different strains that would cycle through and never had the same weed for more than a week! It was like my clients were addicted it was such an incredible deal for a while untill....... I was arrested for felony possession with intent to sell:finger:! A cop pulled up on my and two friends enjoying a bowl in a parking garage, went through the usual bullshit about getting K9's, eventually coerced me to search my car and found 2 oz, 2 scales, 11 counts of parafernalia and a grow guide. This happened the day before my senior prom:wall: so i spent my prom sitting in Gunclub (county jail) waiting for my first hearing. My arresting officers also felt it was necessary to go to my principal and tell him everything. At first i was expelled but my awesome incredible mom convinced them to let my teachers vote and decide on letting my take my exams which i ended up passing:weed:. Now heres the best part: the prosecuters office failed to file charges within 30 days of my arrest so i assumed that the charges were dropped and i was good to go! THEN, about 2 weeks ago, i got a letter from my attourney informing me that the charges were recently filed and am now awaiting my court date in mid october:wall:.

So there you have it, a quick synapses of my senior year!bongsmilie

I'm really sorry about your luck man. I never dealt just and odd buy here and there. Thankfully I don't know your pain. There are a few things that confuse me a bit though...

When I was a teen I hung out with my share of dealers. The difference being that they (and I) had a rule that if you were going to smoke up anyplace remotely public to never have more than enough for you to smoke in about an hour, basically never more than a 1/4 oz a person. If they were going to be selling we didn't hang with them and they didn't smoke.

I read all these stories here and in the papers where the first thing said, "I was picked up smokin' a bowl and X number of ounces (or even pounds.)
I just don't understand the necessity to draw attention to oneself by smoking in public while carrying a substantial amount of mj.

Sure I've moved stuff, bought a couple ounces at once etc, but every time I've done stuff like that I've been as sober as a judge. Once in high school I was moving 5 lbs of brick weed about 200 miles for a friend. We got in the car and just went on our way as if nothing was any different. We ended up getting pulled over going 12 over the limit. No search, no dogs, no stress, just a $120 ticket and 'slow it down guys.' Maybe I'm odd, but I think it's unwise to smoke out a car, the smell lingers for months and everyone is going to know it. Having hot boxed several cars back in high school I know the fun, but I still wouldn't do it in my car.

Just my opinion, but I think having a car reek of mj is a bad idea if you intend to drive. Just seems to be a commonality with people who get caught.

haha well retired, if those of us that have had this unfortunate type of run in with the law had thought like that then we probobly would have had the run in with the law. Its stupidity and the feeling of invincibility, simple as that. BUT the two ounces i had in my car were to be dilivered right there and then but the intended buyer was late, he actually drove by as i was being arrested.
And for the record, I do in fact think like you do now. Guess i learned my lesson?
Also i have had quite a few run ins with the law and EVERY TIME have been threatened by search or K9. I am so goddamn fed up with the street cops in my area, you have no idea.

thanks melted and DAMN man but best to get it all out of your system before you get to old and end up 40 on charges. If its your first charge you can expect hella probation time at least two years so smoke up while you can.

I wasn't being critical, I was just trying to find some logic in the actions that lead to the arrests for these insane victimless crimes. Maybe it was the tutelage I got when I was working for a distributor 18 years ago, but I find that a majority of the 'busts' I've read about on the forums can all be due to one thing, carelessness.

I'm glad you learned your lesson. I had gotten in too deep too fast when I was a teen and had to get out to insure a future of any kind for myself. With the exception of some of the new designer drugs, I think I ran just about every drug that could be run all over 2 states. I think the fact that I was so 'innocent' looking seriously helped the few times I did get pulled over, that and it was almost 20 years ago which probably contributed to my luck.

I went completely straight for 15 years, hardly even drinking after I dropped out of the life. Now I'm just an old fashioned toker trying to enjoy the middle aged years as much as possible (let me tell you, they suck.) The problem I found is that while I was overly cautious about not giving anything away carelessly in those days, I did blow the money I made away like a fool. I think if I'd taken just 20% of what I made from 15 - 18 and invested it in Microsoft, I'd be filthy rich by now. Instead I blew it all on fleeting things like electronics, computers, and of course weed, lots of it.

Those were the mistakes I had to learn from was that while I 'started' doing things to save for a better life later, in the end I found myself like every other college graduate, broke and in debt.

Good luck to you and I hope that things turn around. I still think that being able to say that I've made it to my mid 30's and am surviving is better than saying I laneded in jail for my deeds. Sorry to sound so bleak, it's been a really bad week.

Work with your lawyer, be as honest as you can and try not to take anyone down with you. I agree for a measly two ounces you'll probably get smacked with probation, but they'll watch you like hawks hoping for the slightest slip up. I've seen it happen to nearly every one of my high school friends, lawyers suck but listen to him/her because they might just get some technicality that'll get you off scott free. If that does happen stay clean for no less than 90 days. Statistically most people get caught doing something desperate within 3 months to a year of being let off, most in the first the months.

Peace and good luck,

Its cool man and i agree most arrests are because of carelessness. Im doin my best to stay out of it and have so far but it really is addicting. Its so easy just to drive around at leisure and deliver halfers and shit. easiest money i ever made; worst 32 hours of my life sitting in a jail cell.

I'm pretty sure that I was extra cautious in my day because I wasn't dealing, I was running to a distributor bank for the large growers in the area. Most the time it was several pounds of weed, which didn't bother me as much as when I started getting requested to move Coke and H. That shit made me really nervous. As it got deeper I just had to bail, it was fun for a while but there's a universe of difference in running a load of flowers worth maybe 50K to being asked to run a load of flake that's worth multi-millions. The pay went up, but so did the risk. I'm glad I got out when I did.
