my setup is 2 400w HPS from HTG.

but i only plan on growing lowryders so no need for a MH



what are u trying to grow for personal or business :-?

the thing is i love growing, i havent smoked in like 6 years

:-| just started growing again though


what u growing ur lowryders in a hydroponic? or soil base?

SOIL...4 diff strains, 40 beans, going for 20-25 girls with 1 of each fem strain for seeds...finishing in 3 gal bags under 1000hps...so what your answer to original question:joint:

is that the most reccommended for business growing,(about 1 1/2- 2lbs every harvest for lowryders..20-25 plants) in hot ass FLA without accumilating a stupid high light bill?:confused:

i only sell to friends, and im only growing 10 plants

my 2 computers suck more wattage than my setup, before i started growing again, the bill was pretty high

Hey Everyone, been busy.... had to read like 6 pages to to catch up.

Congrats -RT76 on the seeds.:bigjoint: Did the rest ever pop? I have a pic below of my two Jock Horror's

Well.. I have three plants, all bag seed, that I need to start flowering. I was wandering if now would be a good time to top them..... and also pull some clones? They are about 17 inches high and I don't really want them getting any bigger. Need to buy some time till this weekend so I can buy my flowering setup.

Also it looks like something is munching away on some leaves. Has anyone seen this before.

Yamato - how much do you usually pull off of ten plants? I was thinking my setup was good for nine. Just curious what to expect.

Yup all 9 cracked ....

They are currently in seedling stage... I've had some hangups though..
For starters I turned on my T5 8tube Floro on them as soon as they sprouted, but found that when I sealed the room the temps climbed up to over 87 degrees. So I've redone my duct work so it is not bridged between the flower and veg rooms and is only taking air from the Veg room. 440CFM EcoPLus Supreme fan.

That reduced it a little but I have to keep the room open to get my house AC cooled air to flow into the room. This simply isn't going to work. I'm going to have to create an intake vent somewhere that will allow the ambient room air to flow into the grow room better, my research had stated that 'most rooms have cracks here and there to let enough air in. Apparently I sealed my room too well.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to vent each divide of the closet separately. Especially if I fire up the 1K HPS for flower. It's air cooled but with it off and acting as a 'duct' my veg room was just too hot.

Straightening out the run cooled the room, mostly because I took 2 bends out of the duct work allowing it to be more efficient. Right now I have the T5 lights about 3 feet above the little girls and the temp on the plants is 79.3 degrees. I fear I have to buy another fan and run a fan for each divide and redo all my duct work so it's as straight as possible. Not to mention the noise of one 440 is so loud that I"m going to have to move the fan(s) into the attic and hope that the noise is baffled by the houses insulation.

This is some stressful shit. everything about my design should have worked but apparently my math was off somewhere because I need more air motion all the way around. Keeping this thing under 80 degrees with both the T5 and the 1K running is going to be a chore... Right now as far as I can tell my seedlings are fine, they've even got tiny little 'true leaves' starting to grow, but they won't do well in flower if the rooms running 85+.... So another paycheck is going to lose between 200 - $300 getting another fan, installing an electrical outlet in the attic, and then I have to do the labor.

So far I'm $3500 in the hole ... that's what 4 or 5 top grade ounces at retail. I sure hope that this yields at least that much so I'm breaking somewhere near even by having my own 5 oz lying around instead of having to buy.
