Florida Growers Thread

that doesnt sound right. but im no electrician so i dont know. even the small cfls have a built in ballast.
yeah your right if it was that easy nobody would use cfls.

if you want to use one of those bulbs you have to get a ballast.........either a grow light or a DIY streetlight conversion

man i really need some bud to if i can't find any here it will be 2 weeks until i can get some im kinda in a rich neighborhood in tampa tho like its a middle class neighborhood so i mean im pretty screwed =(

i could never find any pressure in tampa besides my friend but she took trips to out of twn to get that good. im back in duval now after 5 yrs in the 813 and i always kno someone who knows someone, you know how that goes. i got some cinderella 99 from my homeboy from the northside for a great price (50 a 1/8th). if you got any friends at the local university that smokes (unf here), youre gonna be able to get the hookup possibly, but the go getters in the hood always got the connect. they show more love when they know that you fuck with em anyway.
either way, all that shit gets expensive smokin those top shelf strains after a while

What to soon?lol

No not at all...

Anyone around central Florida have experience growing through the winter for a spring harvest? [Outdoors of course]

pritty harsh on the king of pop . :weed::bigjoint:imma smoke one in remembrance of him.

Not making fun of the man... or his death... but he is (and will FOREVER be) a Public Figure...

and he is ALREADY DEAD!!!

The issues he is shown kicking out of the spotlight involve people that ARE STILL ALIVE...

But I must hand it to you.. "harsh" was a pretty accurate word...

I'll join you on honoring him... with a bowl of Juicy Fruit + some Juicy Fruit Kief to top:wink:

Here's to the boy that has spoken to every person in the World!!! bongsmilie

Lake County here. I don't but I've lived here for twenty years now and I wouldn't think a grow would turn out very well, it gets too cold too often. My first grow was in a closet inside, granted I live in an old house but there were nights it was down to the lower sixties, inside. Several days of lows in the thirties and highs in the fifties has got to do nothing good for your plants. Just my two cents worth after twenty years here.

here she is Alaskan ice......soon to be monster.

and what this pheno looks like indoors....long spear colas, can't wait to see what she does outside in full sun:bigjoint:

Thanks for the input. So barring the possibility of a hard frost, they would probably make it - just don't expect much as far as yield quality/quantity? Might try it with some bagseed - I'll just plant a seedling at the spots when I harvest this fall as see how it goes.

Actually, maybe it would make more sense to try an auto-flowering strain at the end of fall and once again right before spring?

I had plants last winter that survived 24 degree weather, turned the NL purp.

The plant was in a shitty spot with little sun and just planted it and left it alone.

it did flower but I didn't harvest it.

Plant an Indica and you should do pretty good, I plan on doing the same thing

Thanks again - good idea about planting an indica dominant strain.

One could remove the shelves from one of these and have a portable greenhouse for those colder nights/days...

Or even make one... ;-)

sorry...
here you go...

Cool thanks for the picture. I'd be majorly paranoid about helicopters spotting any sort of greenhouse (even a plant-sized one out in the middle of nowhere)... maybe if put in heavy foliage but there's not much of that around here during the winter. =/
