Went to LOWES... NO FOXFARM OR HAPPY FROG SOIL.
I did buy 2, 400watt hps bulbs but am STILL UNSURE IF
I SHOULD CONTINUE TO FLOWER. I havw been growing
FROM SEED and my plants are a little over a month and they
are all atleast 12 inches or better. I will upload pictures. As I've
stated many times that THIS IS MY FIRST GROW and I just want
to make sure im doing things correctly. Ive been flowering for 5
days and still no sign of sex and im unsure of strain(sativa or indica)
So if I could just get an ACCURATE time on when to flower that would be great!

Avon Lee..... Those HPS bulbs require a ballast to light them, they won't work in a household socket. Now if you already have a ballast, cords, and a reflector, I apologize. If not, google HPS ballast, to see what you're missing, or check out an online hydro store like Discount Hydro.
.
You're fine to flower your plants at the size they are in the pics. Especially since you're working with a small setup. Expect them to double in height, before they finish flowering.
.
For fertilizers, I'd recommend BMO (Blue Mountain Organics) they sell on Ebay (just put Organic Fertilizer in the Ebay search box), or Age Old Organics, which most hydro stores carry. Either will get you good results, and are easy to use.
.
As far as them showing sex, it takes from 10 to 14 days on average, after you switch to the 12 on 12 off light schedule for most plants to show sex.
.
Hope that helps....

If you can't find specialty soil, try "Kellogs Patio Mix" , works pretty well. And it's around $5 a 1 1/2 cubic feet.

Good Luck bongsmilie

Ive topped 2 of them. The thickest of the 3 has not been topped.
The topped plants have grown taller then the thicker one. I planted
those 2 days after the bushier one as they were two different types
of seeds. The two that I topped came from the same batch.
Im not a botanist so im really just starting to learn this all on the go
A friend if mine had a semi-successful grow so I thought I'd give it a shot
I have no testers, thermometer, magnifying glass etc... I am really just on
a constant watch for any discrepancies. Thank u for the info!

Will take 7-10 days. Maybe more. As I said, you started too soon. Are any side branches alternate yet? If not, your yield will be poor. I know i'm the odd one out here saying you're too early. All i will say is wait, see and learn.
