Flower Room Build

Thanks Burnnonedown. I want the best for my plants. Should make this seed from what ever strain potent. I just can't wait to get these babies to harvest. Might be getting some Purple Clones too with some seeds. Will keep you posted.

OK guys, I put this off too long and busted some ass last night and this morning. Took pics last night, but decided to change out the light already. For now I have 2 fans, one small fan blowing on the light and the other on the plants. Going to see how hot this thing makes the room. Left the outside door off just incase temps get a little crazy. :peace:

What do you guys think?

Light has been on for 30 min. Temps are 70-78 and Humidity is at 48%. Sun is shining on the side of the house where the grow room is. Should be on the other side in a few more hours and temp will lower.

Might want to spray a 5% bleach solution around (not plants) kill the microbes that my cause you problems. Keeping the grow area very clean can keep away a lot of problems.

There are some building ideas in my journal.:joint:

Maybe a little platform, I like my plants up off the floor.

Hang a couple of yellow sticky trap cards, spring means bugs.:spew:

Looks good, man:peace:

You could hang a bamboo blind to shade the outside of the wall if your temps get to high, fiberglass insulation in the stud cavities, ridged foam insulation instead of drywall or under the drywall.

Fuck, My mom is flying out here in 4 days, and I'm not sure If my ventelation supply's will be here on time.

I did not sleep comfortable last night with this new light setup. Its heavy, and hot, and thought I was going to burn the house down. Even thow my temps are ok, its just scary having that powerful light on 24/0, the weight and heat. What if I am sleeping and there is an earthquake, or that sucker falls. I guess I just need to get used to it being there humming over my crop.

Im going to ad a smoke detector to the garage soon and get a fire extinguisher just for safety.

SO I HAVE A QUESTION, CAN I VEG WITH THIS LIGHT FOR 3-4 MORE DAYS, SWITCH BACK TO THE FLORO FOR ONE MORE WEEK TILL MY MOTHER LEAVES, AND SETUP THE VENTS ECT AND BACK TO THE HPS?

Make sure you hit the joists in the ceiling with a good size hook,I can hang from one of my hooks,The house will come down before my light will.

You can switch lights, plants might stretch a little, no big deal.

OK guys, started on some other projects today on the Grow Room. My Ventilation supply's came in today. Here is a progress pic of the Valueline 4" Vent that will have 2 4" tubes removing heat from top, and another pic of a inline booster duct fan to bring in fresh San Diego air from outside in.

I also started painted the inside from the left side white. Should be all done and up and running my tomorrow night.

ONE QUESTION THOUGH, ON TOP OF THIS HOOD, THERE ARE 4" VENT SLITS THAT HAVE PLATES THAT CAN BE REMOVE, HOW CAN I CONNECT A 4" DUCT TUBE DIRECTLY TO THIS? OR SHOULD I JUST PUT THE TUBES RIGHT ABOVE THE UNIT?

Well, I left about 50% open in the front, and had 2 small fans blowing, one on the light, and one on the plants. Then had the Inline booster bringing in the fresh air, and the temps stayed in the 70-73 range. So I am confident that once I turn on the big 4" Valueline Inline fan, and close up the unit, it we be nice a cool in there. I'm thinking of lowering the light about 3-4 more inches too. Humidity was in the 35-43 range.

glad your having fun least sound like your having a good time with it all.
Hows Mom??
did you show her your little botony project??
