Hey guys!! I'm new to this forum and in cultivating maryjanes in general. this is my firs time growing an autoflower and i'm having some trouble... I'm talking about a DP auto blueberry.. everything was going great until she was 3 weeks old when she started showing hairs and pistils... vertical growth is very little until today. white hairs everywhere! take a look at the pics.she is now second day of week 5.. is she flowering already??? i thought she was supposed to veg until week 6-7 and then flower... will she remain that small?? should i switch everything to flowering mode? what can i expect from this plant??

good luck, did you transplant at all? giving her enough light? medium? better throw up the HPS and switch to flowering nutes and start the timer to harvest =)

That is the thing with autos, you tell normal girls to do as you want. Autos dont give a shit about anything. Depending on what interests you its good or bad. Looking very healthy! Are you using tin foil as reflector? Not the best option I must say. Mylar or white paint my friend. Cheers! :bigjoint:

I don't use the word cute often, but in this case it applies:lol:

According to what I've researched (a lot of material), you don't want to transplant because they will always have some level of transplant shock. This shock is said to slow growth for a period and considering the short lifespan of autoflowers any lost days of growth will be very apparent as the plant matures.

Transplanting autos ( Ruderalis ) is not recommended. As stated above they start the flowering process almost immediately with very little, if any, vegetative growth. The first bit of energy in all plants is directed towards root growth which then help support plant growth, transplanting ( often done when using too small of a starting pot ) tends to retard plant growth while hormonal changes occur that redirect energy to new root growth. This hormonal change takes both time and energy, remember you are in essence asking the plant to revert from its normal growth to produce a large volume of new root growth then undergo the same change when root production slows again in the expanded medium. Anything detrimental done to an auto will be seen in a decreased yield as it is pre programmed to flower in a certain time frame and cannot recover like an Indica or Sativa where you control the reproductive cycle by light deprivation.

On the subject of using CFLs, I am personally not a fan but I will admit to being largely uninformed. I have always used HID for vegging and flowering and flourescents to clone. I use HID because it is lumens in the right spectrum that allow for plant growth.

That's what auto flowers do man, I personally don't like them. I grew out 1 auto nyc and 1 auto white widow from freebies, the nyc was pretty good smoke but didn't last long.
