(flowering)Broken stem can I

My sativa's are about done flowering and only have maybe 2 weeks or 3 weeks at best left before I they are complete. Some of the trich's are just starting to cloud up. There is one really nice branch that I must have bent somehow and it's not holding up good basically. There is no visible cracks but at the base of the main stem where the branch meets up it's like mush there is no rigidity at all. I did a basic repair with a tie but I wanted some opinions on this. Do you think it's still going to continue developing right or should I just cut the branch and dry and smoke it now? I've been taking samples for about 2 weeks now and the stuff is amazing even without the cloudy trichs forming. I cut at all the cycles to basically have a nice variety of buzz/taste out of each seeds grown. I cut when they are cloudy then I cut with 50% cloudy and 50% amber and finally when it's just about at the end before it goes south when they are mostly amber. What do you all think? It's been at least 3 days that I know of(could have been longer but I didn't remember it happening) since I noticed the problem. Let me know what you think.

I wouldn't call it a loss just yet. As long as it is braced off you have the best chance for recovery. If it does recover, denser growth can be expected because of the plants response to the damage. If you notice the leaves dying off, go ahead and chop it. With the stem still being intact you have a good chance of recovery.

The bud's are very thick on this particular branch which really sucks. There is a different color on this bud than the others it's easily noticeable. That's why i was thinking it might be shot and better off cutting and drying now. But as I said it's noticeable. Does that change anything?

Can you take a pic?

Hmm . . . pics would help, but a color change on the bud is a concern. Usually I will go by the appearance of the leaves to gauge how the plant is doing. If the leaves are healthy, the bud will be fine. Don't cut unless the leaves on that branch (and not the whole plant) start to droop. If the leaves go, the branch won't be able to bring itself back.

I'll get pictures during the day. It's sleeping right now. Wakes up around 7:30 so tomorrow I'll get her smiling. Wouldn't mind some reviews of this grow.

If the branch has just given way, and not totally broken off, then tie it up, keep it off the ground. I currently have 2 like that - they both gave way under their own weight - which is good news.

Stems will often break or bend during training. Support the stem with a splint and some lightly applied twist ties, or something similar. With only a couple weeks until harvest just splint it and wait. If you had more time before harvest, the splinted stem would heal over time, so that you could remove the stem.

I'm sure it will be fine. Just tie it up. I do some light LST to my plant cause I have due to lack of space in my grow room. I also FIMed my plant (the combo works great) but while trying to tie down one of the main colas I split my main stem in half about 1.5 inches!!! I just tied her back together and she is growing fine. Never missed a beat!!

I'm sure yours will be fine.
