Heres the deal, I am on my third grow, my first one turned out ok, and the second was terrible, both times I am pretty sure I did not leave my plants in flower long enough. Basically I got greedy the first time and chopped it down, and the second, after doing some research, I am pretty sure was totally sativa and needed a lot longer time in flowering. Now im on my third grow, all of the grows have been from bag seed! From the time the seed cracked I have had 3à 42 watt CFLs, and 5à 23 watt CFLs on it! The plant was kept in vegetative growth for 16 days, with the lights on 24 hours a day, and then was switched to flowering with lights on a 12/12 cycle. Today is day 37 of flowering, which would put us just about at the start of the fifth week of flowering. We are using an organic potting soil mixed with miracle grow soil, and perlite. I have done a lot of research on here and I know the miracle grow isnt good, because it has nutes already in it, so I havent given the plant any nutrients, and have just recently started using a tablespoon of black strap molasses per 2 liters of water. I do check the PH, and it is normally between 6.5 and 7.0. White pistles have formed on numerous bud sites, but I have noticed that there is no THC forming on the leaves. The bottom two sets of fan leaves have already turned yellow and fallen off. I am pretty sure that the plant is mostly if not all sativa, which I know from reading takes anywhere from 10-15 weeks of flowering. Honestly I am pretty confidant that the lights have been in good proximity to the plant, and the plant has always shown signs of being in good health. I am worried though that this was a big waste of time, since there hasnt been any THC formation, and the buds seem scrawny and small, the white pistles seem to over run the buds! My question for you guys is, how is my plant looking as of right now, and how much longer do you think before I can cut her down? Maybe im just anxious and I need to bite the bullet and wait it out because it is all sativa, im not really sure though because im not an experienced grower, so any help would be appreciated! By the way I am following your book GK, Buds For Less, great book and I would recommend it to everyone on here!
My biggest question is why does my bud look stretched and isnt filling out!
