Ok, here is the hypothetical scenario:
I have a mother plant from which I have cloned and completed 3 grows.
Mom is a very healthy and robust Northern Lights babe . Advertised flowering time, 60 to 65 days.
On my first grow had a few issues along the way. Not big, but problems none the less.
At 77 days flowering the plants had pretty much done all they could do and were pretty much done growing. Decent buds but the trichs still mostly clear.
Second grow got some of the bugs worked out in the grow room and grow medium.
This time the plants had a happier life and at 75 days I had some really nice buds and a lot of amber trichs. But again the plant had pretty much done all it could.
Third grow was the charm! Had all my ducks in a row. Nutes and medium just right. The grow room was full on climate controlled. I WAS GROWING!<Forrest Gump. (GO ROLL TIDE!)
Day 68 the trichs were full on 50/50 and the plant was willing to give more. Big fat full buds. Not a lot of extra veg growth. But what she had was still nice, green and healthy. A pretty nice grow I would say.
Now. It took 3 grows from clone. From the same mother, so the exact same genetics. To adjust my grow style and grow enviroment to accommodate the strain. So you have things figured out for your plant would you want to change things? Shortening the light period in flower may help, and probably does help some certain strains. Like those originally from latitudes farther north . Where the light cycles are faster and more dramatic than the rest of us experience. But for most of the hybrids we grow. I am thinking not. And I am not trying to piss on anybodys parade. Experimentation is a great and wonderful thing. Just in my opinion in this case I think it would to more harm than good. That’s all. I do wish you the best of luck and a safe move.
I hope everyone gets my overall point.
