outdoor plants work the same as indoor plants, the amount of light and darkness recieved by the plant tells the plant when to go into flowering. 12/12 is a good amount of light for flowering. which means the plant recieves 12 hrs of darkness and 12 hrs of light . so it depends on the season of the year to put the plants into flowering outdoors. if u are not in the season for flowering , you can put your plants into flowering by simulating false darkness. an easy way to do this is to basically cover and uncover your plants daily(with a black tarp or dark plastic of some sort).

thats the idea... if its not the season for flowering and u dont have an auto flowering strain, simulating darkness is the way to do it.
