In an 8 week flowering period when would u cut off nutes and start flushing, how long should u flush and does the plant have to die off before u chop

No, the plant will stay healthy until the end. Typically the earliest you would want to start flushing would be 2 weeks. Mostly people flush the last 7 days.

I personally use straight water with a bit of molasses the last 2 weeks.

It also depend on whether you're in soil or hydro and if you are using synthetic or organic nutes.

Lol, the first time I suggested 2 week flush to a hydro grower it wasn't pretty. I grow in soil myself and tend to forget a lot too.

Lol Haha, I can hear it now. "You want me to use straight water for 2 weeks!!! are you crazy".

U flush every day during the last seven? Then r u good to chop?
Like chillwills mentioned, just use straight water at the end and you'll be good. Flushing really isn't as important as people make it sound.

And not everyday, as often as you normally would but maybe a little extra water to leech the soil.

Put the plants on water has soon has 75% of the hairs on the nugs change colour, this normaly happens around the week 7 or 8 stage. But if the hairs are still white at week 8 then leave her if you can till she starts to show her colour. If you are only doing a small amount of plant say 4 and they are 3 ft tall i like to take them to the shower and rince water through the plant till the run of is clear once the plants are dry then cut down. You don't have to wait untill the plant looks dead you can over cook bud.If you are in a hydroponic sytem then you will need to change the main tank a couple of times or the water will still contain nutes..........................................tyke/..........

Soil, y can't u use straight water for 2 weeks
We were only making reference to using hydroponicics. If you use hydroponics it would be like a human only drinking water for 2 weeks and not eating any food.

BUT since you are using soil its a different story. a good flush of 1 to 2 weeks is great. Like 420God said, just keep doing what your doing(water wise) except discontinue any nutes. the flush will give the soil and roots a chance to get rid of any salt or fertilizer it has built up in the past 6/7 weeks and will be a "cleaner" smoke.
