Flowering Question???

So i know the longer you flower the darker the trichs become and that causes a more couch lock high. So if you want the super stoned couch lock you want them to flower for along time. Will a plant die if it is flowered to long? or mess it up in some way? I want a lot of amber trichs.

I have no idea how long it takes, but you can certainly wait too long to harvest a plant.

I tend to let my sativas get more amber trichomes than my indicas, mainly because indicas already have the couch lock stone, and if you let them go too long you might get a super potent stone that puts you to sleep in a few minutes.;

Just get a magnifying glass and keep checking trichomes, that's one of the easiest ways to gauge harvest. I really wouldn't worry about letting them go too long. Most newer growers are ready to harvest by day 35 or 40. LOL

Grow an Indica strain till the trichs are 50/50. Cloudy/Amber you should be good to go, or not too go in this case.

lol yea not too go... but if i go over the 50/50 ratio will it actually begin to lose potency?
Trichomes turn amber because of degrading THC - that's not a great explanation but it will suffice for now. What you are really doing is changing the ratio of THC to other compounds. The more amber you have, the more that ratio changes. Eventually you will have degraded potency.

If you are looking for a good narcotic stone I think you'll be better off buying an uber potent indica like LUI, Sensi Star, or Aurora Indica and letting them finish at 25% to 35% amber.

i had a buddy that grew out and gave me some AK 47 that was the worst smoke ive ever had,it was almost equivalent to some dirt regs from the high..i smoked this shit ans was sleeping before the spliff was done lol.. point is it went way to long and was harvested at almost totaly amber. and its not a good kinda couchlock that u want to move but cant,more like dont want to do anything other than sleep off the high lol goodluck

can someone post pic of bud ready to harvested... newbie here!
That's the absolute worst way to judge your plants. For $13 you can get a microscope at Radioshack and analyze the trichomes properly. Don't sell yourself short. Harvesting early means you aren't getting full potency or full weight.

ok i'll look into Micro scope... i have Bad ass Magnifier but i will look into microscope, its my personall bud and i'll be the critic on taste and potency!

I think a microscope is the way to go. Trichomes are pretty damn hard to spot even using a jewler's loupe.

Really? I bought a cheap little loupe for $10, and it even has an illuminating LED to enhance visual clarity. You do have to get right up close to a bud to see trichs closelyu, but I could count them if I wanted to.
