I'm pretty sure I know the answer....genetics is genetics but I swear after second rip using an aero nft that it seems to me that the flowering time is slightly sped up. Any thoughts or insight would be most appreciated.

Sir Knight: if you're properly manipulating their nutes and photo period everything should be taking place faster. But there is a down side to this. I've seen guys push their plants too hard and the taste wasn't there. I hope that helps. HSA

It does speed things up. For example, my sour kush is usually ready by the 8th week instead of the 9th. Also, if you've been pushing them hard with nutes or just moderately feeding take this tip: 3 day flush with 300 ppm of Botanicare sweet ( the only thing and the only time anything organic should go in the aero res, not a matter of opinion but more a matter of experience) and put another 75 ppm of FoxFarm Cha Ching. The ppm I speak of is with the .5 conversion using a Hanna meter. If your using the truncheon meter (.7 conversion) multiply my numbers by 1.4. Another thing that should be curbed is the use of Potassium Silicate. I don't know exactly why, but if you use too much ( ie, running organics in aero and because of said organics the need for very frequent pH up and potassium silicate is used instead of potassium hydroxide) it won't come out harsh in the end , just as long as you flushed, but it may come out bland.

Sir Knight: you can push your plants as fast and hard as you want with diet and light schedule but at the other end it will affect the taste. I go three and a half to four months from planting to harvest and a friend harvests in eight weeks by manipulating the light timers. The only problem is that his harvest is harsh and it has an off taste. I don't think it's as good as it could be. You might want to RTFB. There are a lot of good resources for this. I hope this helps. HSA
