Flowering to Sex? Comments please.

I know that if light reaches my plants during the 12 off, I run the risk of reverting them back to the vegitative stage. my question is this: Would it be detrimental to a plants developement if I were to put them into flowering just long enough to sex them and then put the females right back into 24/0 to continue the veg stage?

It stresses them a little, but It wont do to much harm. I've done it before with no problems. It just takes a bit to get them to go back to veg. Now I take clones from my plants and put them into 12/12 to check the sex.

You're talking about when you are starting a new strain I assume. I considered that, but it seems like it will take too long. my problem is this, I think I have dwarf plants. I am at 5 weeks and 10.5-11" I just transplanted and gave them a nute shot. I figured unless I see dramatic growth in the next week, I should probably start flowering soon if they're not going to get much bigger. I am using a 250w MH. What are your thought?
These are bagseed. Someone told me they look extremely indica dominant...but I don't know.

well if you want to do that, why not just take a clone and flower that? But read many people doing that so hope it turns out good
