Hi, I've taken repeated advice and changed my lights--I've stopped with the CFLs and have changed to two 500 watt bulbs.....I've been really surprised by the heat--I don't have to run my heater at night anymore (I grow in my bedroom, as it's the only room in the house that can be closed off)! They seem to be appreciating the extra light and heat quite a lot--new leaf growth just looks overall to be a lot healthier.
There aren't any problems, per se (it took a little time to get the swing of a new watering schedule, but things are fine now--there was only minor leaf burnage on the first day), but compared to the vegetative growth stage I'm not really pleased with my flowering. Maybe now that it's in the last stage of development I'm getting impatient, but after two weeks of flowering this is all I've managed to produce.
Is this normal for an ignorant first-time grower? As an experiment I tied the plant on the right and left the other one as-is. The right-hand plant was already flowering before I officially changed my lights to 12/12 (I think she's just got better genetics than her neighbor), so despite the fact that her buds are bigger, I can't really say I noticed an appreciable difference.
Any advice for a hard-headed head? Too much foliage? Still not enough light? Do I worry too much? As always, any help/advice is much appreciated!
