flowering with 250w metal halide can i yeild?

i have a 250 watt metal halide light and i just flipped it to 12/12 and was wondering the best outcome to flower with a MH, has any1 done this? if so howd they turn out? got no money rite now for an hps bulb.

HPS is more efficient, and puts out a better spectrum for flowering, but yes, you can flower under metal halide lighting, and yes, you can still get good results that way.

250W HPS bulb costs less than $25, by the way, and can be purchased at any Loews or Home Depot.

you can expect good results with the mh however you must keep the bulb a certain distance mh creates quite a bit of heat. good luck

ya that thing cooks. thanks for the tip. i just turned the light back 2 days ago im hoping to get a HPS in a couple weeks. what bulb is hotter the MH or the HPS?

Just make sure that your MH ballast will also run HPS bulbs. Some do not.
